Everyone is always talking about Batman & Superman. Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Green Lantern get some decent face time too. Then projects like SHAZAM, Plastic Man, and Teen Titans seem to pop up every once in a while.

But what about those really obscure characters? The ones that never get talked about for the big comic2film treatment...

What obscure DC property would you love to see get developed into a major motion picture, indie classic, or something else entirely?

--------------------------------------------

I'd personally like to see an adaptation of the "Weird Western Tales" comic book with Jonah Hex as the lead character. It would follow him from his childhood spent with an Apache Tribe, to his serving in the confederate army, and then his falling out with both. Along the way he'd meet up with several of the staple characters from the book, like: Vigilante, The Trigger Twins, Silver Deer, Nighthawk, and El Diablo. It would be like "24" except set in the Wild Weird West.

Booster Gold and Blue Beetle the film!
Harold and Kumar meets Batman/Superman :D

How about, "The Homicidal Adventures of Major Force" ?

The Question. Starring Keanue Reeves.

The Spectre and Deadman. Nuff' said.

The Question would be really cool if approached as a political conspiracy film (a la Three Days of the Condor or The Conversation) rather than as an offshoot of a superhero franchise.

My top choices for the title role are:

5. DAVID THEWLIS - Terrific actor with a very distinct [and appropriate]voice.

4. NICKY KATT - One of the few character actors who really can disappear into a role.

3. MARK RUFFALO - He'd bring a really interesting layered performance to the table.

2. ALESSANDRO NIVOLA - Needs to be a huge star, could play the role in his sleep.

1. ANDY SERKIS - 'Nuff said.

The Omega Men

(At the moment, as far as casting goes, all I can think of is either Ron Perlman or Anthony Simcoe for Tigorr. And interestingly enough, Tigorr's wife looks a bit like Chiana so a Farscape reunion of sorts wouldn't be out of the question. Or maybe it would because some people couldn't help but think of D'Argo and Chiana when they should be thinking of Tigorr and what's her face.)

Elongated Man would be a fun movie like Spider-Man or the Fantatic Four.

Great choice, not a fan of any of the others. I mean, Andy Serkis is great, but Question? Really?

Anyways, as for my choice: Super-Buddies. Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, Elongated Man, Fire and Ice, Captain Atom, and Guy Gardner. And honestly, while I can get sick of these guys some times, i think the Frat Pack would be able to play most of the roles quite well. Owen and Luke Wilson have long been fan favorites for Booster and Blue Beetle. Will Ferrel could pull of Dibny, and Vince Vaughn could be either Captain Atom or Guy Gardner, or maybe even Maxwell Lord.

Make Jack Black Guy Gardner

Young Justice

The funniest comic book that took itself seriously that DC's ever made.

Green Lantern Mosaic

The most Vertigo-inducing series on DC's imprint

80's Keith Giffen Legion of Superheroes "Great Darkness Saga" as true to the comics as possible.
Would R.O.C.K. and be quite impossible to pull off well.

You know, as much as i hated the idea of him as the star of a standalone GL flick, he'd do great as Guy Gardner in a Super-Buddies movie.

Of course, this would need to happen after a standalone Green Lantern movie, so he wouldn't be the publics first introduction to the character. Not to mention they could have Guy always *****ing about Hal being the more popular GL, and that could create some funny moments.

Also, it'd be great to have a cameo by at least Brandon Routh's Superman, as some of the members are denied admission into the Justice League.

Sean William Scott would make a MUCH better Guy Gardner.

People are forgeting that there is only one Vic Sage:

Why do people assume that Robin/Nightwing needs to be introduced in a Batman movie before having his own movie or be in a Teen Titans movie? There's no rule, nor has there been any allusion to the other DC comics films having any type of continuity, and it's not like the general public has never heard of him before.
