Ok, it does not need to be negative, can be some thing people would of liked to have seen, or a nit pick,
I watched it in 2d, but i heard people didn't really like the 3d
i personally loved the movie myself, but i couldn't get over how goofy cap looked at times with his helmet, or cowlmet, it just wasn't sleek enough. i was happier with the scenes when he wasn't wearing it, the wig looked better IMO, lol.
And i didn't understand fully the relationship between Hawkeye and black widow, which more time was given to that, and a better explanation to hawkeye no longer being possessed, but that could be down to timing, the movies running length was fine, any more might of been over kill

Only two things hurt an otherwise brilliant film for me a little bit

[nitpick]
1. The events on the Helicarrier drag on for a bit. I understand that it helps character development, and the dynamics between the team, but it seems to go on long after the point has been made.

2. The ending. After going about the folly of nuclear weapons, in the end the only thing that ends up destroying the Chitauri IS THE NUKE! Also, the fact that they all just drop dead like the battle droids in Phantom Menace. Seemed like a bit of a copout and a way to put a bow on the end the battle
[/nitpick]

I gave the film a 9.5, but there are certainly flaws.

- The first act was someone scattered. I felt like the opening scene with the Chitauri happened way too fast with very flimsy explanations for their motivations. I also wanted to catch up with Loki just a little bit more instead "oh here he is with the Chitauri cutting a deal." The 3D also made those space scenes hard to look at.

-Thor was shoe-horned in. Was not asking for 20 minutes of expositions, but considering the importance of the BiFrost being destroyed in Thor I thought it was a disservice to have the explanation of his returned summed up by Loki's simple "So what kind of dark magic did the all-father conjure?" We got to catch up with all the other heroes before there was "any assembling." I wanted to know how Thor learned of Loki's presence on Earth.

-I liked Cap much better in this one, but I'm still dying to see some real Captain America fighting and acrobatics ..... there's just so many unique things you can do with his skill set that we have yet to see depicted.

-Wanted to see the Chitauri put up a better fight. They were definitely strictly bumbling goon material.

i agree, with cap, i definitly liked him more this time around, as for your first point it would of taken alot more time to explain the Chitauri, and the running time was already a stretch so i could live without it, maybe it'll be on the DVD, as for Thor knowing about loki, we can always assume Hiemdel can still see beyond Asgard.
Another thing i wish is that the camera stayed on Black Widow a bit more from 'that angle' when 'not exactly' interrogating Loki. :-P

Again you assume it would have taken "a lot" more time. They only got literally 45 seconds of explanation. Another 1-2 mins would not hurt the film.

"Assuming" about how Thor found out is weak considering how important that element of the film really is.

i have not seen it yet but my nitpicks are

human hand of thanos
the other's delivery could have been better
black widow hairbutt
cap and thor reverse slow motion scene

Yeah I liked his look, but the human hand was weird.

My nitpicks

-Early space scenes were fairly cheesy
-Pacing was off during the first 20 minutes
-Didn't really care for the "Phantom Menace" ending

That's about it

I think my biggest complaint would be the "made for tv" aesthetic.

I didn't feel the TV aesthetic to much, only the scene where they are all together arguing, but i though it added to the intensity, or it was so tense it doesn't take anything away from it

Seriously some of the "critical complaints" I've seen on some of these threads are so comically misguided there are nitpicks to be had at best. I'm sure I'll have actual little complaints once I see it again but lordy I'm too busy putting pieces of my psyche back together to get all hung up on silly technicalities like "making Loki a clown". Bwahahaha.

Lol I was joking. I didn't feel it at all. Looked awesome to me.

Perhaps I have more LMDs than you seem to know about :cwink:

Ha ha I hope so. Brought a tear to my eye when you died. But I loved that being the reason the Avengers decide to let go of their petty differences and to decide they have to band together.

Yup, I also think the movie would have been better if Thor had his helmet and Hawkeye had his mask

not to bothered about the helmet, plus i kinda liked how he looked a bit like the ultimate Thor during his throw down with Hulk

I have a few complaints about it.

1. I did not like the story. It reminded me so much of Mass Effect 2. All these interesting and great characters but the story itself is very lacking. Very meh.
2. I loved Loki in the beginning but as the movie went on, he got less and less good for me by the end he was just kind of there. While I loved the whole Hulk beating him down, for a villain who is suppose to always be 5 steps ahead of everyone else it was a weak ending for him.
3. Speaking of weak endings, the Chithauri just ending like that because their ship was blown up was really stupid and a cop out. Also unless I missed something couldn't they have just brought the bomb up there to begin with
4. Act 1 had a lot of problems, I understand why though and none of that really bothered me although I can't believe how they just glossed over Thor's entrance, its like they couldn't come up with any better way so they just said oh look Thor is here.

The All Fall Down of the villains at the end seemed like a weak way to end an otherwise excellent movie.

i just read that the hulk v thor fight is not one continuous scene

why the **** do they keep doing this in films

i remember all the ****** edits in star wars prequels, back n forth, back n forth

disappointed the hulk v thor fight is cut cut cut cut with other scenes

DAMN :argh:

If you're dead keen on continuous fight scenes then maybe this movie isn't for you.

Funny, witty, smart and very entertaining 7.8/10

Iron man and hulk/ banner ( easily the best duo sharp smart dialog and amazing timing in action and comedy ) they stole the show with captain america, loki and black widow not far behind.
thor and hawkeye- meh or even bad at times. The thing is that hawkeye is supposedly have sense of humor from the comics but this version came off really bland / boring character and for thor he had a lot of lines that came of kinda chessy and not funny and I had issues with his hand to hand fighting style at times looked like WWF wrestling match wtf?

A another negative aspect of the film is the CGI of the hulk sorry still imo on its nowhere near Avatar, Golum, king kong, level horribly inconsistant at times the worst shot is when
the team standing doing a don't even fing move pose to loki with the hulk looking really fake at the background
but its his SPOT ON personality that makes up for it and he has the best action.

hulk vs thor in the hellcarier and hulk and thor vs aliens whichs ends in a laugh out loud and one of funniest moments in the film. The good news hulk does speak VERY VERY BAD NEWS

wtf WEDON WHY NOT GIVE THE A FEW LINES HULK SAYS ONLY 2 WORDS (puny god in banners voice ) WTF??? No I'm the strongest one there is or HULK SMASH?????

2 Incredible long take action sequences in the final battle that made the film for me. It reminded me of 2/ 3 long money shot pages in the comic books where everybody was fighting at the same time. It was a childhood dream come true.
