What songs remind you of what comics?

Sunspots - Nine Inch Nails
Always reminds me of Wanted.

The comic though, not WINO.

It always dies after a while, but we manage to bring it back eventually.

You know what someone needs to bring back? The Big Big Thread of Lesbian Subtext.

While not a comic per se, this is what I imagine Alan Moore and Grant Morrison hanging out to be like.

now I can only think of Watchmen whenever I listen to Smashing Pumpkins' The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning (I know, obvious choice--but that's me, heh :o)

This is going to sound ridiculous, but this song always reminded me of Ben Reilly:

"Place In This World" - Michael W. Smith

The wind is moving
But I am standing still
A life of pages
Waiting to be filled

A heart that's hopeful
A head that's full of dreams
But this becoming
Is harder than it seems

Feels like I'm
Looking for a reason
Roamin' through the night to find
My place in this world
My place in this world
Not a lot to lean on
I need your light to help me find
My place in this world
My place in this world

If there are millions
Down on their knees
Among the many
Can you still hear me

Hear me asking
Where do I belong?
Is there a vision
That I can call my own?

Show me, I'm
Looking for a reason
Roamin' through the night to find
My place in this world
My place in this world
Not a lot to lean on
I need your light to help me find
My place in this world
My place in this world

Lookin' for a reason
Roamin' through the night to find
My place in this world
My place in this world
Not a lot to lean on
I need your light to help me find
My place in this world
My place in this world

Lookin' for a reason
Roamin' through the night to find
My place in this world
My place in this world

Especiallythe line "Is there a vision that I can call my own".

Nice.

Always liked Regina Spektor, even though she some times sounds like she's singing with the hiccups. :)

There's actually quite a few. Remember the Time by Michael Jackson, Endless Love by Lionel Richie and Dione Warwick, Always and Forever by Heatwave, etc, etc.

You know, all this is making me realize how much potential Hawkman and Hawkgirl have to be a truly amazing series. With the proper writer who has the right long term vision, a James Robinson or Neil Gaiman type, it could be a great, epic love story. With a fair amount of monster fighting thrown in for good measure, of course.

I know. Johns and Grey/Palmotti helped me to start to enjoy them, but I felt there was much more they could have been doing. The whole Kendra being Shyerra but not wanting to be Shyerra thing kinda ruined it.
