Darker and grittier like TASM1 or light and cheesy like TASM2?

I think they should go for something similar to the Raimi films.

First and foremost it shouldnt be 'like' anything before it, it should be its own thing

The tone is easy for this movie. Just like a Marvel movie but set in high school.

I would like a serious, dark tone (like Nolan's Batman films). I know people think of Spiderman as a more bright and uplifting character and for the most part he is but I think that his best stories in the comics are darker ones, where there is a genuine threat of death, both to him and his loved ones. That is part of what makes Spiderman for me. In the face of these serious threats and when times are looking dark and grim and sometimes even hopeless, he still manages to crack a joke and to find the positive energy and strength within himself. Even if he is dragged down into a dark place, he still manages to climb his way out of it, more strong and resolute than before.

I recently watched SM and SM2. I loved the tone and how storyline of those movies was told. I want something similar overall with a little bit more comedic and jokes on bright side, but also a bit darker tone on other side when there is danger. But that's just me.

i think the film should should have a unique tone, colorful, vibrant but still keeps everything serious and retain that same cinematic quality the rest of the of the MCU films share. I don't think it should be dark in tone like a Nolan film, IMO that style only works for certain heroes, not necessarily Spider-Man

On 2nd thought, maybe the tone of a Nolan film would be too dark. If they recaptured the tone from Spiderman 1&2 then I would be very happy.

i guess i want the tone to be a mix, have the seriousness of possibly a Captain America film and comedy similar to Guardians of the Galaxy

Like sm1 and 2 with more comedy and not saving mj 5 times in a single movie. If she or Aunt May or whoever is in danger I want to feel scared.

I basically want Peter Parker to seem like an actual teenager and clichéd as much as the Raimi version. This new version should fit in well with the rest of the MCU

We dont need dark and gritty if it can be like iroman or say guardians we should be fine.

Just a serious tone, not like Batman, but not like Avengers kid stuff.

Something exactly like the tone of Iron Man. The first movie.

Start out fairly light, with the Raimi tone and Marvel humor. TASM did great with the wise-cracking. Just make sure that it's still "serious" at the same time. The villains need to be a real threat. As the movies go on, they should gradually get darker until we reach a point that's comparable with TASM.

Grounded in dark and gritty realism like a DC Movie.

Ok. That wouldn't be such a great idea. I expect plenty of humor, with some serious moments of course. There also needs to to be plenty of screen time for JJ Jameson. I want at least 45-60 minutes of JK Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson sitting at a desk yelling at people. That would be awesome.

60 minutes jeez. Why not just make a J. Jonah Jameson movie.

Bright and colourful like the Raimi movies. That would fit with the tone of the MCU best. The ASM movies just look different in terms of cinematography and tone.
