Mad Hatter takes control of Arkham Asylum and turns it into his "Wonderland." Gives us a new primary antagonist while also allowing cameos from other villains - new and old.

Or Simon Hurt and The Black Glove.

Black Mask perhaps. They could take some inspiration from Arkham Origins and have him put a hit out on Batman.

Without the Joker twist of course.

Yeah, that ****ing twist. I really like Black Mask, though I don't think he'll ever be seen as a main villain material.

Is that still considered a "twist" if most saw it coming?

And I also like Black Mask but you're probably right in that we'd never get to see him as a main villain in live action. I still want a more fleshed out and proper Scarecrow.

Good point.

Ah, yes, Scarecrow that is closer to comics version would be great. I always wanted a darker, Zodiac kinda type Riddler, by the way. A neo-noirish, detective Batman film with such Riddler as main villain is a long-time dream of mine.

This sounds amazing. If Ben is directing this film, this could totally be right up his alley.

Get Matt Damon to play Hush opposite Affleck to solidify the "old friends" angle.

If it's Riddler I want to see classic Riddler. No need to make him dark and gritty. He's the Riddler. He like riddles. For ****s sake enough of the need to make every relatively lighter character darker to be taken seriously or to up the stakes. You can be creative with it where it can be a real engaging and clever time. Most of all, he tests Batman's intellect and it could be something truly awesome. Kind of like in the last few episodes of the fourth season of Breaking Bad where it was just this chess match between Walter and Gus trying to one up the other. Except I hope Batman doesn't kill him.

Oh, wait. ****.

Lotta love for Black Mask,Jason and Hush on the forums, honestly never understood why. I guess the screen writer could make them compelling but Todd as a villain only works alongside Joker, Hush and Black Mask have never worked period. The whole friend thing was perfected by Two-Face,seriously Hush became a villain for no reason and Black Mask was...bitten by a mad raccoon or something. Beyond aesthetics and a superficial/shallow connection to Bruce Wayne Hush and Black Mask dont have anything going for them,I'd argue they're among the worst villains in Batman's rogues gallery.

Black Mask has a lot of potential, still. A side villain of course. Hush sucks. Jason Todd sucks. My opinion anyway.

I don't think there is much to recommend Black Mask, other than a striking design.

He looks cool. Especially in his earlier days. Sure, he's one-dimensional but a writer can add more layers to him. At least he can be a colorful, threatening crimelord. He can be used as a side villain. If they add a stronger backstory, and don't make him the hot-headed gangster, but use that behavior for only a small amount of his screen-time, he could rise to main villain status. Joker was one-dimensional for decades. People seem to forget that. Same with Penguin, and he can totally be a main villain if done right.

True enough, but where Black Mask is used merely as a vicious mob boss, I would rather someone like Two Face or Penguin were used instead. They bring more innate depth.

At this point, i would be fine with Black Mask or Two-Face in that side role. Maybe lean towards Black Mask more because we haven't seen him yet.

Penguin, on the other hand, might be my favorite villain, only secondary to Joker. Ill take Cobblepot over Two-Face or Black Mask any day. I find it so ridiculous that we haven't see a proper version of him in a movie yet.

If Robin Williams was still alive he would have made a good Hugo Strange.

If Ben Affleck is able to do a trilogy of films like Bale did as Batman then the 3 villains I would want for the trilogy would be:

Part 1 (film villain)- Joker
Part 2 (film villain)- Black Mask
Part 3 (film villain)- Hush

The court of owls. It could be both a great detective story/thriller and action movie.
Bats doing great detective work specially in the forensics area, those who've read Snyder's storyline know what I'm talking about. The court/ talons could be a great psychological and physical threat. With them there's also a lot of opportunities to add a horror element and also for the first time explore gotham as a real entity/character by showing how the city and its people have been somewhat shaped by the court manipulating things behind the scenes for decades and how they are this secret society formed by some of gotham's elite and have managed to be no more than a myth even eluding batman himself.

Batman thinks he knows the city better than anyone. He has several bases/bunkers around the city. Imagine the surprise in a scene where he discovers the owls have the equivalent of that in places and buildings he has been in lots of times yet never suspected an enemy could've been monitoring him from.

With Red Hood being the obvious progression from BvS, I think I'd be fine with Penguin or TwoFace taking the Black Mask role, and can understand why they'd do that. But I'd still prefer Mask, just because it's something new.

I'd be amazingly happy if they made the Mad Hatter a sick child killer....and have batman beat the crap out of him. He doesnt have to be the big bad of the movie but I think they could make him really creepy

The Ventriloquist too...hes always been one of my favorites... They could make him so cool...once again I dont know if he could carry a movie but as a side character Batman takes out quick to establish how forceful he is could work
