Which format will you see it in, first?

- Imax

- Imax 3D

- Basic

well, Since there is no IMAX theater of any kind in Fort Myers, i'll be seeing the basic

im going to see the 3d one!

Arnold, you missed the word "see"

i'll go see it in a regular theater before seeing it in IMAX.

Explain the diff., CGHulk... Thanks.
In a digitally projected theater there's no celluloid. In digital it's projected from a large hardrive, the image is superior to film/celluloid, and it is not blurry at all and there's no desateration of colors, they are as vibrant as they are on your DVD. There's no flicker to the image, where in a standard theater when a scene is an all white image the picture filckers. During a dark scene you can see what's on the screen, unlike the night scenes in The Hulk, where you couldn't see anything. The only way of seeing a movie with superior quality in the past was seeing in a 70 millimeter showing, at a movie premier house like the Mann Grauman Chinese Theater, which is now all DPL digitally projected. :)

I think digital is better than IMAX, because in an IMAX theater they cut the sides off the image to fit the square screen, where the original aspect ratio is widescreen. So you lose 2/3 of the image in an IMAX theater.

I'll most likely see it in the IMAX 3D in the atlantic city, NJ Tropicana casino first, NYC IMAX will be too nuts.

If i'm too lazy to make the hour drive to AC, there is a DLP theater about 40 mins away in Elizabeth, NJ. Either way i'll be seeing it in a better than "regular" theater, SR is gonna be too good for a regular theater. ;)

I wish I knew what I was going to do.

I have about 4 digital theatres I can get to in about 5 to 20 minutes tops. But, I also have an IMAX theatre I can get to in 7 minutes.

The 28th is also my wedding anniversary.

I want to do the IMAX thing but I'm just not sure about this 3D thing. I definitely want to see it digital as well.

So, it's either IMAX or Digital. Either way, it's going to be a great experience. I just have to decide which one.

Actually i need to retract i voted imax 3d but i forgot i get to see it on the 25 th at my military theater, so it will be on a regular theater. then i get to go see it on the 27th in imax 3d, and i know i have said this before but i am so excited cause its my first imax viewing ever:)

I would like to see it in Imax but it is not playing near me in that format.:(

Basic first, maybe IMAX that weekend. Im not all that keen on driving an hour and a half out of town to see something, when I have a decent pick of Multiplexes within 10 miles around me. It still confounds me that the Orlando area is lacking an IMAX 3D theatre.

There should be an option for digital projection theater because that's what I'm gonna try and do.

I see Hulk has already brought that up.

Seriously, especially with Disney and all that entertainment... you'd at least expect it. :o

I only get to see it on regular first but I am taking a roadtrip up to Denver so I will get to see it on Imax, but this is the first i've heard of the DLP theaters and I have 50" dlp tv and the picture quality is amazing so I can only imagine how good it will look in a theater on a huge screen.
