There is no IMAX within two hours. Don't think there's a digital projection in that distance either. I'll go to the good theater in town, which is about 40 miles (about 45 minutes) away.

oh my stars and garters

3d of course.

I'd want to see it in normal Imax before Imax 3d, but im about 100% sure the imax i go to will show it in imax 3d, so basic first.

Regular on 27th at 10 PM, then IMAX 3D a few week after that.

i was going to (still am) see imax 3d on friday, but now that it's coming out on tuesday night, i'm gonna have to watch it that night on basic...i kinda wish my first experience was imax, but i don't think i can wait till friday knowing that its' out on tuesday

First 3 times in usual theatre, then I will go to see it in IMAX 3D.

Basic. I have no other choice since we don't have any Imax theaters.

Waitaminute -- according to www.imax.com, there's only one option for SR. The movie will have 20 minutes of 3D showing, so there should only be 2 options here: IMAX (w/ some 3d) and regular theater projection.

I've already picked up my IMAX tickets :-) Can't wait to see those 20 minutes of 3D!

That graph sure is purdy.

Imax 3d, of course. Then basic. Repeat once per week until its pulled from theaters.

I've never been to an IMAX before, although there is one an hour away.

1. All IMAX theaters have 3D right?

2. Aren't IMAX movies shorter? I heard depending on length, they can be 10-15 min shorter.

I've never heard that. Why would IMAX movies be shorter? As far as I know, the run time is the same.

i have 2 imaxs near my house but i dotn care where i see i just wanna see it

Singer Talks 3-D Superman

Bryan Singer, who directed the upcoming Superman Returns, told SCI FI Wire that the IMAX version of the film will be something to behold and will quite possibly offer some additional bells and whistles to moviegoers. "Fortunately, we shot [the film] with a Genesis camera, which is a digital system," Singer said in an interview. "So we have a much higher resolution. So it projects really well to IMAX. That's one benefit for IMAX."

Superman Returns brings back the Man of Steel in a movie that continues the story of the first two Superman films. Brandon Routh stars as Superman/Clark Kent, Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane and Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor. The potential summer blockbuster also becomes the first live-action movie to get the IMAX 3-D treatment, with 20 minutes of the film's action transformed into 3-D.

"We're doing something else which is a little P.T. Barnum and a little funky," Singer said. "To the best of my knowledge it's still happening. I've been knee-deep in printing and mixing, but certain sequences will be in 3-D. The idea is that Clark takes off his glasses, and you put yours on. Not in every sequence, but in a few sequences. They have this amazing system at IMAX. I was extremely blown away when they took some of my 2-D material and '3-D-ified' it using their process. And it was astonishing. I don't know how they did it. It's complex, a lot of man-hours involved and obviously a lot of computers, but with that combined with offering them up some of our visual-effects-separated material they'll be able to create a different experience for some of the sequences." - Ian Spelling

At one point they were slightly shorter than the original theatrical run. I don't know why, but it was (SW: Attack Clones, Apollo 13) but since the second matrix (i think), they've been keeping the movies the same original lengths.
