The Amazing Spider-Man What villain or villains would you like to see them kick start the reboot with? Part

apparently i didnt hit the right note with you guys. at least let me keep my smartass smiley...:o

I hope there would be no ProtoGoblin, the previous trilogy was over-saturated with Goblins

^ I agree... what's the point of having a Proto-Goblin to the Real Thing. It's so assinine that this character was even considered. It is just as bad as Vultress. I can't help but to shake my head in disgust. I'm not sure what their vision is; but, I suspect it no better than Raimi's... at least at this point.

I dont mind the idea of the Proto-Goblin - obviously not as a main villain. In my opinion, Spidey should not even be aware of him. I have NO problem with Spidey and Lizard going at it, all the while Osborn is using his employees as test subjects...then disposing of them.

Proto Goblin=Hobgoblin, there gonna tweak it to give the character some depth.

Whoever the villain is...he has three claws apparently to slice across Spidey's chest. How many villains fit that? Isn't the other spidey in the images just a stunt man in a different suit? Or did I miss something?

Too late now, but I would have started out with Kingpin.

I'm not *****ing, btw.

One thing I have a great feeling of is that they probably won't use Ultimate versions of the villains. This is now officially called "The Amazing Spider-Man". So hopefully, we won't see any Hulk Goblin in any sequel! :D

I certainly hope that's the case.

I don't know what people have against the Ultimate Goblin design. Works better than a middle-aged businessman in an awkward suit on a glider, at least in live action.

I hope some of the writers watched the Spectacular Spider-man tv series. It did a good job with villains and setting them up.

theres nothing wrong with it, but its a problem when nearly all Spidey fans have also seen Incredible Hulk

He's hardly the green goblin we know and love. To be honest, I prefer the cunning of Norman Osborn, to the random destruction of Hulk Goblin

And Amen to the second statement. TSSM was an amazing series. Such a shame it was cut short :csad:

Wow. I remember when TSSM JUST released with trailer. All people ( fans) HATE it and talked about how much they missed 90's tv series. Now they love it.
I hope that will happen with this reboot movie...as wellll.

Could someone explain the appeal of the Lizard as a villain to me in 1 or 2 sentences. I just don't see any:huh:

I would acctually love to see the Goblin (done right) or Vulture as villain.

Spider-Man has never faced any animalistic villains in any of Raimi's films and Lizard could bring in some of the darker themes of Spidey's universe.

The Lizard could also have some killer scenes where he's lurking in the sewers causing Spider-Man to use his "spider sense" to survive.

Kraven and the Lizard in the same Movie?
That would be a dream come true:word:

^At least, if they're gonna do it right then hopefully Conners will not be killed off, so we could easily have Lizard and Kraven in one of the future installments. Or maybe that's the surprise villain? :awesome:

......

It's terrible for many reasons, andi t takes away from who the character is overall .The dual identity. The thought of Norman becoming someone else just by putting on the mask. I mean, Hulk Goblin? Seriously?!

nah, odds are Kraven would end up killing Conners and then flee before Spider-Man can catch him. he could appear again like Scarecrow did in TDK

I hope they're planning to introduce Venom some time. Venom was completely ruined in Spidey 3, so I'd like to see him get another chance.

This time around, the way I see it they'd have to create the backstory around it. I'd like to see it like in the animated series from the 90's story arc "The Alien Costume", but for that they'd also need the Kingpin, Smite, the Rhino, and optionally the Shocker. That might complicate things.

^ Yeah, now they are doing the Avenger, maybe they can do the " Secret Wars" story, and give a true rendition of how Spidey got the Symbiote. :yay:

^^ That wouldn't work, if you ask me. Just WAYYYY too much going into it. Even more than the Avngers.
