I missed out on the issue with Ultimate Vulture, was his origin the same as the 616 version?

Ultimate Vulture is Blackie Drago, an ex-agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. He was then employed by the Ultimate Tinkerer, who had been fired from Roxxon Industries and wanted to ruin Donald Roxxon's life. Tinkerer outfitted Drago with a cybernetic Vulture suit he'd invented, based on Sam Wilson, aka Ultimate Falcon's suit, and set him loose to blow up Roxxon Industries until Spider-Man defeated him. Drago is currently in S.H.I.E.L.D. custody and his suit has been confiscated. Tinkerer, meanwhile, was tracked down shortly after by Nick Fury and Iron Man and is also in S.H.I.E.L.D. custody, forced to work and develop new weaponry for Fury. In addition to being able to fly with the suit, Vulture is armed with small bombs.

Adrian Toomes exists in Ultimate continuity, as an employee of Trask Industries (the company that funded Peter's father's scientific work, including the Venom suit) and righthand man to Bolivar Trask. However, his fate is still up in the air after the events of the video game - he's either in jail or still at large. Either way, he has no connection to the Vulture.
