    I like the Earth One origin of the S. I can see Kevin Costner saying the things about the S Pa Kent did in Earth One.

    It's perfect, IMO. The name and symbol comes from Ma and Pa Kent, it works excellently.

    I would completely do away with the S-shield, cape, and underwear to make it look much more realistic, but I know most would not enjoy or recognize that change.

    it stands for hope according to the trailer. however, in birthright it was hope as well as the family crest.

    I don't think it was a family crest in Birthright. That didn't make its way into the comics till Donner's run, I believe, in 2006.
