What words are your 'weakness' / 'triggers'?

"Your skinny"
"Eat more"

Like I dont know that! It's not my fault my genes doesnt make me put on weight as easily as others!

That's what I've told pretty much every single woman I've ever known.

It's just nature. :o

Oh, and I'd also like to state, I am legitimately a bastard.

And I'm proud of it. :o

"stupid"
"crazy"

basically words people use to dismiss everything you say and do.

As someone with a slow metabolism, I have zero sympathy for you.

None. :yay:

Drizzle,fizzle,fo sho,word

"Errbody"

"Call me"

"Lates"

"Thatshicray"

"disappointed" stabs me in the heart. I can handle my parents, girlfriend and friends being angry with me, but when they're just quietly disappointed it's so much worse. It means (at least for the time being) they've basically given up on you.

haha, i gathered :cwink: sometime I sort of joke-away the comments nowadays with saying just that that I can eat as much as I want and still not gain any weight, and that's awesome! But it's a double edged sword :/

I hate when people call me Sir. Especially younger girls, I just want to say to them FU, I'm not your father!!

I hate being called 'Oi' :cmad:

Also, locals in my pub overusing the 'joke' of saying 'how much?' in a shocked voice EVERY SINGLE TIME they order the same drink, who's price hasn't changed in over 2 years... that's starting to really grate on me.

My biggest trigger is anyone that tells me I'm faking my disability. "You don't look disabled, stop pretending." or "Stop scamming the government you faker." That seriously puts me over the top.

I'm with you there.

Had a disciplinary once because a colleague of mine said my M.E. wasn't a 'real illness', and it sparked a massive row.

So yeah, being called 'lazy' is a biggie, or being called 'boring' because I won't stay out longer than I do (which in fairness, is bloody long enough!)

Also, there is so little understanding of depression and it annoys the hell out of me. I've heard a lot of people say 'what have they got to be depressed about?'

That's not how it works you idiots! Depression is about being unhappy and in pain ALL THE TIME, not because something bad has happened. Being unhappy because something bad has happened is just normal.

Seconded :D

"Are you ok?"

Whenever I am the only one at "the party" being the quiet one in the corner, this question annoys the **** out of me.

:funny: Yeah that's a good one.

Also someone saying 'Cheer up', when you are absolutely fine, you just happened not to be smiling at that precise moment...

And no matter how much you say 'Huh, i'm fine?', they just look at you like 'sure you are' :cmad:

Trigger words:
f**
gay or queer being used to describe something stupid or lame
"no homo"
The N word (almost punched me uncle in the face for using this word)
"giturdun"

Just about any word purposely mispronounced for the sake of sounding cool. Same goes for made up words.

You don't sound cool, you sound like a moron.

I ****ing hate that :cmad:. My buddies girlfriend asks me that question every single time we'd go out or hang out as a group. I'm quiet, I don't like crowds, I don't like a lot of noise and I don't like being the center of attention. So she'll ask "What's wrong?" "Are You OK?" over and over and over and then if I don't answer with an acceptable answer she gets pissed at me. There is nothing wrong with being quiet. In fact, it's the preferable way to be.

I heard an old man say, "You're not allowed to teach evolution in school anymore, because it's too religious."

.....

I just get frustrated at ignorance in general.

Don't worry. He is old. He will die soon. :o

Not so much words for me... but phrases.

"Moving forward..."
"I just wanted to touch base..."
"At the end of the day..."
"In and of itself..."

I hate cliched feel-good phrases, like "everything happens for a reason" or "God moves in mysterious ways." Really? Tell that to a kid dying of cancer.

It infuriates me when soneone uses murse to describe drinking a beer. I have to suppress the impulse to slap people who write or say it.

It's a Small World.

Seriously.

That song enrages me nearly beyond capacity for thought. I've talked to my parents, sister, other people who knew me as a kid and no one has any idea why. When I hear the song it makes me tense in rage and want to destroy whatever is making that GORRAM ****ING SONG PLAY!!! Some friends almost lost thier phones by trying to annoy me with that song.

YES. Those phrases are the equivalent of a sugar pill. They don't mean or do a damn thing.
