I believe the point is to be in the least populated area or city as possible. I wouldn't like to be in a major city when the city is going down the crapper, because chaos would ensue, trying to evacuate from said city would also be a monumental feat.

My hypothetical monster has a hypothetical above-average intellect. He's actually controlled by a kid playing an old Rampage arcade console somewhere in Iowa.

Oh man I love Rampage! I wish someone would reboot it or put it on XBLA!

Come on man, you had one slot for Canada, and you chose Ottawa?! Not cool!

I'm so sorry. I didn't think :csad:.

A lot of the responses here are pretty clever xD

I know right! I'm so glad I made this thread

Yeah but if something like that is going to happen you want it to happen in an exciting city y'know? The spectacle, the 'i was there' stories you can tell for ever.

No-one wants to hear the story of the time Godzilla attacked the Gobi desert.

Lol, it's like if you had only one American city to choose to include, and you chose Cleveland. (Yeah, I know it's our national capital, but it's basically Canada's Cleveland).

Salt Lake City. I've read the Doom books. I know what crazy military tech they have!

The city of space.

Haven't you ever heard of Space Godzilla!? There's nowhere humanity can hide!

I chose London, simply because we have a vast network of stations underground, some of which are pretty deep down.

A lot of tube stations were employed during World War 2 as air raid shelters for that very reason.

Fun facts...
The deepest station is Hampstead, on the Northern Line, at almost 192 feet underground.

The Central Line was converted into a fighter aircraft factory that stretched for over two miles, with its own railway system. Its existence remained an official secret until the 1980`s.

Id hide inside Matthew Broderick. He's been through it before

True, but at least you wouldn't be on the casualty list.

Yeah, too bad it was a subpar rendition of the Godzilla character.

I would love to see a movie about a monster attacking London for those reasons you have given. I don't think it's ever been done before (in terms of a gigantic Godzilla type monster). Oh well, I guess I'll have to settle for the epicness of Doctor Who! :woot:

I wonder if being the #1 place to hide out from a giant monster would be something the tourism board would want to know about and promote?

I'd go with Kansas City. It's right in the middle of the USA, so I doubt some monster is going to walk across the country to wreck and rampage.

All I know is if it happened where I am (Australia), our political leaders would change like, 8 times in the space of a three hour kaiju battle lol. How would your city react?

Anywhere in Canada.

In every movie you almost never see Canada even mentioned, never mind attacked. We get ignored by everyone.

Once the dust clears and the monster has moved on then the Canadians will rise from the ashes and take over the world!

Except in the Macross/Robotech saga. The Ontario golden horseshoe is one of the first places on Earth to get completely decimated.

Giant robots don't count. Except Ultraman and Pacific Rim. :o
