What would you like to see in the rumoured new costume?

with all these opinions, i think i will simplify mine!

keep the trunks, cape, cowl etc. COLORS can vary!

i pretty much will be happy w/ anyrthing, as long as they don't do a suit like TDK

Why all the hate for the undies? It looks great.

I agree. I think the trunks break up his body visually, without them there would be too much grey, his legs could appear to be longer & it might even excentuate his , um...."package" (I'm having flashblacks of B&R).

Don't bring back the yellow oval. If anything, I'd like to see a costume reminiscent of the Batman Beyond gear, at least in terms of Bat-Symbol design. Standard cape and cowl, solid black gear, with a bit of an armored look to it.

I had this crazy idea with the actual Bat-Symbol where it could adapt to its surroundings. If Batman wanted to be completely stealthy with no possible way of being seen, the symbol would turn all black with the press of a button on his utility belt or one of the gauntlets. It's kind of a sketchy idea, but if anyone wants to take a shot at streamlining it, have fun. :brucebat:

Let's go OLD School...

your idea of the symbol changing in its surroundings is not very doable... Sorry...BUT I DO AGREE WITH YOUR IDEA OF THE SYMBOL BEING batman begins-esque... the suit in batman begins is the closest thing to the BATMAN: YEAR ONE CMOIC THAT WE'LL EVER SEE!

that is true batman... something out of detective comics #27..... in my opinion, i think that BATMAN: YEAR ONE is the closest that we will ever see to this design! ! !

I've been thinking - perhaps it'd be kind of interesting to make something like Pope's batsuit the canon design for a while.

Either what he did in "The Berlin Batman -"

- Or "Batman: Year One Hundred -"

And thats basically what we still have today. The gloves are a little longer, but at least visually, Batman is one of the least changed characters in all of comics. I love the traditional Batsuit.

I agree if they gave a suit like this to our current BATMAN I WOULD BE HAPPY

Can someone post a picture of the black costume that he had after Knightfall, i cant remember it?

Here's another look at it:

Basically, the changes are these:
-No breifs
-All black (or simply darker grey, depending on the colourist)
-The gloves and boots are part of the bodysuit, instead of being seperate
-The boots have fins on them.

However, the costume was rendered inconsistently. Some artists would draw the gloves and boots as being separate from the bodysuit, and some colourists would colour the bodysuit grey. Worst of all, even though the costume was supposed to be all black, the cape and cowl were always coloured a blue-ish black, where the bodysuit was always coloured greyish black. Accordingly, the suit still looked two-toned.

I maintain that an all black suit would look fine if they would actually colour it consistently black: one tone, with no difference between the cape/cowl and the rest of the suit. That said, making the suit all black is not necessary.

This suit does look nice, they should go back to this, but mabey with a black/silver belt and silver bat logo,........or because it works for nightwing, how about an all black suit, black capeand cowl, glove and boots, a metal looking belt in gunmetal grey/silver, and for a bit of colour a blue bat logo and blue inside cape??

i like this idea, but the blue inside the cape would have to be dark... the bat logo should either be black... or a dark grey... gunmetal would be a sweet color for the belt....

WITH MY VARIATIONS i previously posted, i just wanted to make noticable the types of variations that are found in the comicbooks... i.e. long/short ears, cylinder/pouch utility belt, black bat vs. yellow elipse chest symbol etc.

I don't think a black Bat logo would work on a black suit, i'd prefer it to be a different colour........

a light gray for the symbol would be good a dark grey would work... black would work if it was highlighted to make it stand out from the chest

that would be awesome.

i like the year 100 suit... a few changes could be made... i mean to fit a younger, buffer batman

when i made those, i was trying to show batman & how he'd evolved from the cylinder belt to pouch belt etc. I think no trunks on grey suit would be ridiculous
