Daredevil What you DIDNT like from Daredevil Season 1(spoilers abound)

The costume, which looked pretty bad. They did well to leave it until the final episode.

I dislike how Jessica Jones had more and better court related scenes than the show about the lawyer.

Were there any actual scenes in a court room in Jessica Jones?

But don't worry, there are legal and actual court scenes this season.

Rewatching season 1, I think my only complain is how they killed Ben Urich.

Yeah, that was gonna be my one complaint. It felt like such a waste. Then again, they very well could be setting up his nephew whom is apparently following in his footsteps and might have an "Uncle Ben" initiative.

Yeah that's not what they did at all....

And the reasoning the showrunners gave for killing Ben off have proven to be BS as far as I'm concerned.

Killing Ben was absolutely stupid. It actually tainted the whole series for me.

And he died before Matt even became Daredevil. :whatever: :whatever:

Complete and utter crap. It would be like killing Commissioner Gordon when Bruce Wayne is 10 years old.

I thought the show started well but floundered towards the end of the season, around the time that Matt and Foggy started fighting. It picked up again during the finale.

Also Kingpin's cadence and voice annoyed me.

I'm only two episodes into season 2 but I already prefer it to season 1.

We could have had Ben in the Spider-Man reboot!

Given how Doctor Strange is using a different Night Nurse than the one we've seen in Daredevil and Jessica Jones, I doubt Homecoming would have used Ben Urich.

People need to realize that MCU and Netflix are run by two very different groups of people. Would it be nice for it to happen? Yes but is it going to happen? Probably not.

The first four episodes are the best part of Season 2.

Oof, I just finished episode 4. So it's all downhill from here?

One other thing I didn't like from season 1: I didn't get why those Chinese people in the heroin factory blinded themselves. Madame Gao said it had something to do with faith, I think.

Definitely not, I think the whole season is really good. I love the dynamic between Matt and Elektra.

I'm not sure about that one, but one reason could be the very simple fact that they had no way of telling the cops or anyone about the drug factory, since they would not be able to tell them where it is.

It's worth watching the rest. The dynamic between Matt and Elektra is amazing. Some really great stuff follows with Frank and Elektra.

The first 4 episodes are best part of the season. The Hand plotline just wasn't as compelling as the Punisher material, but the Punisher story gets a major boost around episode 9 which makes the season amazing again

I can't believe I forgot to say "Killing Ben"

That was such a terrible move. Especially since Karen was essentially "given" his job/office in S2 which would never happen in the real world.

I thought that was believable enough. Urich died while he and Ellison were on bad terms. It makes sense that he would help Ben's friend.

I just feel like Karen got a bit shoved down our throats last season. Even Comic Girl 19 agrees. I don't like that she had to be involved in every subplot. And that she had that flabby season closing monologue that didn't work at all. I still have no idea what she was trying to say. "You're a New Yorker and that means you're New Yorkian" or some such.
