Daredevil What you DIDNT like from Daredevil Season 1(spoilers abound)

Really didn't like Foggy and Karen's banter. Took me outta the show and made me cringe.

To add, the shaky, JJ Abrams-like camera filming was a little nauseating at certain moments.
Agreed. Also it's really hard to play drunk and they didn't pull it off at all imo.

Most people who "play drunk" tend to think that means loud and obnoxious. They oversell it. I agree that their first night out together was one of my least favorite scenes of the series.

Exactly:up:

- Didn't like Matt's father, didn't look or feel like a boxer at all.
- Young Mama Fisk didn't look like old Mama Fisk at all either.

Am I the only one who thought that the violence kind of went down after Episode 6? I noticed there is not much grotesque scenes anymore similar to the ending of Ep3 and Ep4.

I don't know, the Nobu fight from episode 9 was pretty damn brutal.

That don't make a difference. All I know is it made the moment kind of trashy IMO.

I thought that scene was odd because I doubt many women would feel comfortable undressing in front of a stranger, whether they were blind or not.

But,I suppose we're talking about a Karen who is already used to undressing in front of strangers....

Agreed with those disliking Karen & Foggy's banter. Looking back, I consider episode 2 my least favourite of the season due to them, the flashbacks/young Matt... Don't know why I thought it was better than 1x01. Man it took me out. Same with when it cut back to them during the Nobu fight. Jesus.

And young Matt...

UGH.

Ruined episode 7 as well. Scott Glenn on the other hand was great, but he overdid the hard*** mentor type (unnecessarily overusing 's***') and his stunt double moved too fast during the apartment scuffle.

It bothers me how they don't have the Matt stand next to Karen whenever she's wearing heels. They're the same height so with heels she'll obviously be taller so why not just show it instead of using all these camera angles to make Matt look bigger?

My only gripes are how Fisk's voice seems inconsistent at times and his constant ongoing speeches about him trying to save the city. I understand that's his biggest motivation, but it gets tiresome hearing him tell someone, then tell Vanessa the next scene, then explain it to someone else the following scene.

I don't think they even explain why he loves his city so much. He was moved at a young to a farm, so there isn't anything that would make me think he loves the city.

Because boobs are... trashy..?

When you flash them in front of strangers, it is. Just like the college girls flashing on Daytona Beach, or the strippers at the night clubs. It's not beautiful, it's trash. And before anyone judges me, I worked at a stip club once, so I know exactly how those places are.

I found it especially odd because she had just gotten through a traumatic event that would have left her feeling vulnerable. No way in hell would any woman just undress like that in front of a stranger. Heck, many women who are attacked take weeks or months to heal to the point where they even keep themselves covered up and sheltered from even the people they do love in life. In my eyes, that scene just shouted out (we gotta get some side boob in here somewhere for the guys watching the show)

Except that Daredevil is blind. I guess I just don't see what's trashy about changing your shirt when no one can see you.

I didn't like from Daredevil season 1 is death of Urich otherwise everything is good.

This, plus the final scene could have thrown us a bone with a shot of the suit having a "DD" on the chest.

My one complaint upon rewatching is things move a little too slowly. I hope Season Two moves with a slightly faster pace.

I didn't care for the "Stick" episode, I know it's a popular episode but it came off kind of cheesy to me, re-hashed Ninja Master teaching his student storyline. It wasn't BAD but to me it was the worst episode of the season.

I don't care for the new Daredevil suit at the end, again, it's not bad, but it's not that good either.

That's about it, everything else was pretty good.

Did not like the death of Ben Urich. They could have done so much more with that character.

Also thought that the season finale wrapped things up a little too quickly. I mean, they could have easily stretched it to another episode to have fleshed it out more.

I didn't care for the one hour episodes. At some points during the show, I kept wondering when is this episode gonna end. Just got bored of watching at some points.

As others have mentioned, both Wesley and Urich died abruptly. There was definitely more potential with those two. My other complaints are minor but worth mentioning.

- The last few episodes started to plod a bit. They could have shaved off 15 or so minutes to make it more fast paced.

- Still don't like the costume. I understand it was put together rather crudely from materials in a garage but I was hoping for a more aesthetically pleasing design.

- I didn't care all that much about Karen

- The editing in Episode 9 was very irritating

That's about it. I loved everything else.
