That was a good cage match at the end of Smackdown. I liked it a lot more than the ending of Raw. Thats the kind of stuff Del Rio needs to look like a contender before Wrestlemania. He gave a good performance in there. I loved the way Christian won.

I was going to say that I think Del Rio needed the win more going into Mania until they ended the show with him looking dominant by attacking Christian and injuring Edge's arm. I knew Brodus was going to run out there and stop Edge from destroying Del Rios car.

I think it was a good choice to put him with Del Rio. helps them both look better.

They were but they scrapped it. I guess they wanted to concentrate more on building the Edge (and Christian) vs Del Rio story without overcomplicating it or letting anything else get in the way.

I like him a lot. Has a good look and presence. I hope he makes it.

As bad as the storyline may be, snooki is a "big" celebrity, not to mention the match has trish stratus in it. I feel like WWE is actually trying to do morrison and ziggler a favor....as well as assure themselves there are two wrestlers who can deliver during the match.

I don't really see it as a de-push . It might be a good sign they are being showcased in a match that is sure to garner some attention because it shows the company is behind them. The only problem is that is doesn't elevate their careers .

Alberto Del Rio sucks. Also I don't know what matches people are watching with Broadus Clay but he has been terrible so far. Constantly missing spots, especially when he is being set up for tornado DDT's. He has to stand up and basically walk into the DDT

I could agree.....the WWE likes to give guys s*** and see if they can make shine-ola out of it

It's not a depush and I don't think anyone ever used that term but they are being given garbage. Even Bam Bam Bigalow and Big Show got REAL athletes to compete against in their celebrity matches. Having a Muhammad Ali on a Wrestlemania card looks a lot more impressive to me than Snooki. This is a comedy match.

Meanwhile Cody Rhodes is actually having a pretty entertaining one on one story where he isn't playing second banana to a reality tv star living out her 15 minutes of fame. He's got a chance to be put over by one of the more popular stars of the company. THAT is goign to do something for him. The least WWE could do is make it three wrestlers instead of three wrestlers and swap Kelly and Snooki.

Trish Stratus wrestling Melina or Beth Phoenix would be a 1000 times better than this and do more for the company long term if it turned out well. How often do they get Trish Stratus back in the ring? And they waste the rub she could give on this? Trish was the biggest womens star of all time. And she's still in great shape. It'd be like bringing Hogan back while he was still in his prime to wrestle some fat C list stand up comic.

He still needs work but I don't think he sucks. That match with Christian last night was great. Clay is still green but he's got potential. He's already better than a few big men to come along in recent years. WWE has never cared if these guys are masters on their first few weeks in as long as they are monstrous spectacles. Thats what Vince likes. Clay brings some diversity to a cookie cutter vanilla looking roster.

Yeah it's no secret he's been really good with that stuff. Hopefully all goes well for him post wrestling.

Regarding Snooki: Notice that WWE put two young, good looking, MTV friendly guys in that match. I don't see it as a depush...WWE sees these guys as potentially being able to appeal to the young girls who watch Jersey Shore. If those girls start paying attention, and decide that John Morrison is their new dreamboat guy...then John Morrison is well on his way to being a break out star. Besides, it was not in the cards for either of these guys to be in the main event this year, so at least they are doing something that can potentially increase their fanbase. If WWE sends Morrison and Snooki out to do interviews together on other shows, it can only help him.

That said, this match will hardly be a mat classic, and people who watch wrestling for great matches are obviously going to be disappointed that Morrison vs Ziggler is a sideshow to Snooki.
