Marmalade is rind of the fruit, not actual fruit. And apple butter obviously falls under "butter". It's in the name. And it's churned like butter.

Jelly and anything related to it are groce jeff. Preserves are best. I think marmalade might have...a touch of butter or something to it. The one time I tried marmalade, I remember it being kind of creamy, with a jam-like texture.
