The Great Silence by Juliet Nicolson - The suffering of WWI soldiers and their families would break a sociopath's heart.
The Floating Lady Murder by Daniel Stashower - Houdini and his brother make for some really humorous detectives, but there wasn't much investigating and you really never get to know the suspects or victim. Plus, the murder's motive is half-baked. Overall pretty good, though.
