If I'm not mistaken, that's a sci-fi novel right? I'm quite a sci-fi nut myself, so please tell me, is it any good?

Yeah it's sci-fi, and it's one of the best novels in the genre I've ever read. It's kind of like a bitter, honest, anti-war version of Starship Troopers mixed with the biting irony of Catch-22. The concepts and technology are brilliant, the characters are fun to follow. It's substantial without being tedious and entertaining without being shallow. I can't recommend this enough.

Been itching to get this for some time.

What did you think of the ending?

The one I read was the revisited edition so I don't what's in there that's not in the original version but [BLACKOUT] even if the last part isn't the strongest part of the book I still like the book. It was always back in mind when I'm reading the book is how do you end it? I had to get used to the The Hand of God since it feels so sudden that it was at first for me a deus ex machina, but the more I think about it the more I think it fits, and then there's the one with Stu and Fran questioning the future of humanity and ends with Fran answering "I don't know." Ambiguous but I like it, the epilogue with Flagg it's good too. Overall a damn good book about a struggle between good vs. evil and which was filled with such rich characterization.[/BLACKOUT]

I FINALLY read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

I only link because that's the exact version that I read. I really like the covers a lot, the box they came in, how the page numbers just keep going between books and it's a good font size.
I've seen some where the font was like crazy small.

Glad that I finally read. Equally glad that it's all over with.
