The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring

GREEN LANTERN: EMERALD KNIGHTS

Good animation, good story...very well done.

A barely coherent plot filled with abrupt scenes that pad out a dull mystery, the acting varies between stilted and comically bad, and the characters are for the most part unlikable. 3/10.

SUPER 8

J.J. Abrams Super 8 is a tribute to Steven Spielberg, his lifelong love of film,sci-fi,and family.
Produced by Spielberg Super 8 has his fingerprints all over it,the chaos of a large family,an overwhelmed officer in a volatile situation, and of course teenagers placed in a great adventure.
The film takes place in 1979 Joe Lamb (Joel Courtney) is mourning the loss of his mother
his father Deputy Jackson Lamb (Kyle Chandler) is distant and caring.
Fast forward 4 months and Joe and his friends Charles (Riley Griffiths), Preston (Zach Mills), Martin (Gabriel Basso), and Carey (Ryan Lee) head to a train depot to film a crucial scene for their zombie film.Alice (Elle Fanning) whom Joe has a crush on comes along with the group to star as the love interest. While filming the gang witnesses a spectacular
train crash(one of the films best sequences). But this crash is beyond accidental, and the fun begins
The film's first 90 minutes are suspensful, exciting, nostalgic, and funny.
J. J. Abrams provides wonder,first love,friendship,and a big adventure in a small town.
Still the film feels a bit uneven . Abrams wants to pull at our heart strings and provide a romping stomping action film at the same time, but it all boils to a lackluster conclusion.
The film is not without it's charms, and if you're a fan of E.T ,The Goonies,or Close Encounters of the Third Kind you can see what Abrams was going for.
Stick around during the closing credits.
Scale of 1-10 a 7½

Probably Guy Ritchies worst film.

Six years ago, I kind of loved that flick, I watched it a few months ago and absolutely hated it. Funny how taste can change. I still really like the visuals though.

X-Men: First Class
My favorite of the series. After being let down by the overall shallowness of X3 and Wolverine, you could imagine how happy I was to see substance return to the franchise. Hopefully the next few X-movies continue this route.

Just Go With It
I was a little weary to see it at first considering that Sandler's repertoire tends to be hit or miss as of late, at least to me. Pleasantly surprised.
