A big visual feast that at times feels like riff from 300 but most of the time it has it's own style. This was pretty much proof that Henry Cavill will play a great Superman. However, the story is pretty much dull and unexciting.

The Walter Hill film from 1992. Really little action fun flick, that ends with a fantastic bit of trolling on the part of one of the characters. Walter Hill is so awesome, I just imagine the guy smells like scotch. If his films had smellovision, they'd smell like old scotch too.

Safe House

Bleh. Shaky, way too close, poorly cut action, predictable double crosses, delusions of grandeur, and groan inducing blocks of exposition. The two leads aren't bad (though I do think there are stretches where Washington is on auto-pilot) but that doesn't do nearly enough to save this. This makes me appreciate the light, well choreographed, and immensely more entertaining Haywire even more.
