I liked it. The performances and visuals were very very good, and the major incident eating at Robert's core is very effective, so is the inciting one, but I didn't really like the reliance on and execution of the editing as the film moved forward. That and the visuals are pushing us and I feel the visuals did most of the heavy lifting there. That quick, staccato motif in the editing for his dream-state felt directorially trite and the ending hammered itself home a little too much for me. It became platitudinous after awhile.

And It felt like they had that ending of going into the city planned but didn't really know how to get to it organically. I enjoyed that juxtaposition from forests and farms to a theater, office buildings and a mirror as a standalone moment though.

I may have enjoyed it more overall if they cut some of the narration.

@KaijuDude1992 Not too into found footage, but you sure make The Decedent sound intriguing!

You should definitely check it out when you can Milk Tray Guy even if your not super into found footage films because it's easily one of the better ones out there.

A solid, gritty Swedish crime film. It was an interesting watch for sure especially seeing a young Joel Kinnaman actually speaking his native language and I still can't believe this is from the same director that would go on to do Safe House, Life and Morbius.The guy definitely has talent but should definitely stick to doing more films like this instead.

A solid action packed sequel and I actually think I slightly prefer it over the original because of the tighter pacing and the more satisfying ending.

A decent enough ending for this trilogy but I get why its considered the weakest by most fans especially if your a fan of Kinnaman's character who is mostly sidelined in this. It honestly felt like he had 10 minutes of total screentime in this which was pretty disappointing not to mention rushed and anticlimactic.
