Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace 3D

I haven't seen this in a long time and seeing it again made me wonder why I ever liked it. The story is bland and uninteresting and it only made an impact when you got to the final act with Darth Maul fighting Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor. The thing that bothered me was the overall terrible 3D conversion job, panning shots became blurry and there wasn't much depth to the 3D. However the shots in space looked incredible.

Safe House

It's another thriller with Denzel Washington being Denzel Washington. Ryan Reynolds also gave a good performance but the story was average at best. The action however is a little bit better executed than most action thrillers.

Justice League: Doom

I haven't read JLA: Tower of Babel yet so I don't know how faithful it is but it has a pretty decent story. I'm starting to get bored with the same animation style, I wish they could mix it up like the way they did Batman: Year One.

It was definitely better than the first one (which isn't saying much) but I still cannot take Nicolas Cage seriously as a superhero.

Aw man, I saw that doc years and years ago, had it on tape, the bit where she talks about having hallucinations due to her prescription drug addiction was hilarious, the way they edited in all the hand puppets and cartoon footage.

While this adaptation gets the basic gist of TOB across it doesn't really do the comic justice. I recommend people read Tower of Babel first before watching this as it might not leave the greatest impression of what this is based on. TOB is different enough (better too) that it warrants a reading even if you do decide to watch this first.

Great voice acting from everyone though.
