What's worse? Being a slacker or being a social climber?

A slacker spends most of their days pursuing leisurely activities.

It really all depends.....if you have the wealth to be a slacker that is live a life of leisure then good for you. However if you do not and you are in financial difficulty then being a social climber is really the only choice but that does not necessarily mean you are defined by other people's value system given that system which is often determinned monetarily could also be your own. It is all a question of what you can comfortably do.

Just because your primary pursuit is leisure doesn't mean that's what you get. You don't get to live a leisurely life without making money and you don't make money without impressing people.

Being a slacker is a great way to live in your parents' basement until you're 32.
