Anyone play the demo? I played it last night and it was pretty good. The driving mechanics are a little stiff and unintuitive by my racing game standards (i.e. Burnout), but the vehicle combat and the balls-to-the-wall pace make it a lot of fun. Based on the demo's short level, it's exactly what it promised to be: an absolutely insane action movie in video game form.

Yea i thought it had some cool features. A little too over the top for my tastes.

For a movie, it'd be kind of cheesy. For a game, I don't think it's possible to get "too over-the-top."

It really depends how the "overthetopness" is presented. In a realistic looking game like Wheelman, it kind of stands out. And I don't particularly care for it. But in a game like Serious Sam for example I welcome as much over the top ridiculousness as they'll thow at me.

But I agree, the car combat stuff was really cool.

Eh, it's like a Jackie Chan movie to me. Yeah, plenty of the stuff he does is borderline inhuman and there's no way things would be set up so perfectly in reality that anyone could do the things he does on the fly. But it still looks awesome and it's a lot of fun to watch (or play, in Wheelman's case).

I thought the demo sucked big time. This definetly woont be a title I will look at

The race was the only part I didn't like. The story mission that started it off was great, I thought.
