The Dark Knight When did heath ledger won the fans over?

ledger won me over with the very first pic of him with the messy makeup.. i thought it looked awsome, but then they changed the way he looked and it still worked for me.. but then i saw the first trailer and i was completly floored i must have watched that trailer a million times that night.. im glad to see my faith was justified. heath in the movie is incredible..

1. Trust in Nolan

2. First time I heard his laugh and voice, I was sold.

seeing him waltzing down the street last summer with a machine gun in hand, still playing the part in between takes....solidified it for sure. then the first teaser made me like...giddy with excitement. but i was pretty much on board day one. i loved and still do love heath ledger and especially after brokeback i knew he would be incredible. i remember being so frustrated last summer at the threads and threads of how unfaithful this joker was....i love the amount of crow a lot of people on here are eating right now.

My faith in Nolan played a big part, with the first image I thought: "It looks different... that's a good thing".

The big moment for me was when I heard the line "Evening... commissioner" followed by the shot where he has the makeup all F-ed up. Powerful stuff.

A few years back, when heath was announced as the joker...alot of fans hate the idea and began to use the brokeBAT mountain joke.

By now...almost everyone love heath's protrayal...so when did heath manage to win the fans over?

I think the first full trailer created a lot of excitement and pretty much all movie and comic fans thought he looked good.

Then Ledger's passing, that was prob the factor that made this film into the box office monster it is.

i was never a heath ledger fan but i also accepted his role with an open mind because in my opinion if he was crazy enough to give up hollywood for semi-big budget indie films and take up a role which would label him that gay cowboy guy then he would have been crazy enough to fill the jokers shoes

when there were mere whispers of what it was he was doing...that was enough for me. but i was never against his casting in the first place.

Poor Heath his fan base grew to unbeleavable numbers and he wont be around to enjoy the fact that he's a icon now

now about when he won me over:
when i first found out about it in my group of friends i was actually the only one defending heath out of just pure trust in Nolan, then when I saw the pics, i was sold and when that trailer in decemeber came I knew i was going to see something amazing but once July 18 rolled by Heath blew me away

After combining the first picture with "Starting tonight people will die. I'm a man of my word HAHAHAHAHA!!"
