Most here have way too much nostalgia for the 90s, so it's not really all that fair.

That was my thing. Power Rangers and The X-men cartoon. born in '88 those shows were right up my alley when they were popular.

X-Men was good. i'm pretty sure that i've seen every episode of that show. i caught an episode recently (at the LCS). the dialogue was cringe-inducing. that's the ugly side of nostalgia. :woot:

Well the question is which decade did you have a better experience in.

I'm just going to add this to the conversation (as the whole 90's nostalgia/constant sharing of the oh-so-unbearable Buzzfeed links has gotten so old):

I'd call it a tie. 90s was my childhood, which was good (and bad) there are some things about my personal life in the 90s that I would like to forget. But there were some good times too. 90s brought me Sonic, Genesis, Nickelodeon, Pogs, Playstation.. I remember playing the NES for hours on end with my buddies playing TMNT games and Contra. I guess things started to go downhill in my life around 95-99, which soured my opinion on the decade. I moved to a new town and had trouble making friends, was bullied quite a bit, gained a bit of weight, and was later home-schooled making me isolated from other kids.

2000s were my latter teen years. Which brought me the Dreamcast, XBox, [adult swim] and the internet. I had lost a lot of 'baby fat' that I had as a kid, and was generally a happier person than I was in the 90s. Got my first job and enrolled in Art School. Financially, I was the best shape of my life, even though I was older in the 2000s, I guess I have more nostalgia for it than things from my early childhood. TechTV was awesome.

In some sense yeah ha. Watching anything as an adult you enjoyed as a kid has its implications. Like me watching Ren and Stimpy now.....I know how perverted that show was ha.

I used to put those things in my oatmeal because my mom wouldn't buy those Undercover Bears. :cmad:

There were gummies wayyyyyyyyy back in the day.....and they were little cakes...or they looked like cakes...or pastry's....I remember them as a very very young kid...probably around 5 or so. So this would have to be 92-93

For the life of me I can't remember what they are called.

^ Reminds me of the SpongeBob snack tie-ins of today. Gummy Krabby Patty.

they were cut too, like little pieces of cake. omg its killing me I cant remember their names

Dipping cookies into frosting and labeling it as an after school snack? Yeah that would not fly today.

A quick 80's question.

Anyone remember a cartoon where people rode giant insects?

I can't remember the name and it's bugging the hell out of me.

Yes! That's it! Thank you.

I had a couple of the toys and always wondered about the cartoon. :woot:

haha they were. I knew a few kids back in the day that wore them, and carried around glow sticks. They would "rave" at dances with their upside down sun visors.
