Cast your mind all the way back to a bygone era and try and think of what made the '90s so special which they could include in the xmen movies.

They've done Nixon after all but not Reagan so idk?

I always think back to a scene in one of the early X-Men (2000) scripts where Beast and Professor X are pulled over by a cop and the Professor uses his telepathy to project himself as Mel Gibson. I think something like that would be cool.

I wonder if they're going to tie the film into a historical event from the 90s. That was one of the weaker aspects of Apocalypse.

That being said, it's not the most necessary thing. Hopefully they do have a lot more fun 90s things like the mall sequence in Apoc.

Captain Picard and The Simpsons.

If I had to bet, I think they'll probably mention Nirvana.

Maybe in a new Quicksilver sequence. Ew

I'd hope not. Plus, the Quicksilver sequences seemed to be more Singer's idea, particularly in Days of Future Past. So I imagine if they appear again, they hopefully come off or appear different under Kinberg.

I like the concept of the scene but please no Mel Gibson lol.

It might be interesting to have those details in each movie as each decade grapples with different civil rights issues from post holocaust era all the way up to an Obamas era (with maybe the first mutant president)

Will probably never be mentioned again.

Britney

scrap that, she's probably too young.

Well, "Oops, I did it again" would be a fitting song if they decide to make another Quicksilver sequence.

It would be even more fitting if the studio fails at adapting Dark Phoenix saga again. LOL please no.

Sophie's Jean could make a "the third one is always the worst" joke but about DP

The movie is set in 1993, right? Following the 10-year time jump from the previous two?

If so, how about a Quicksilver sequence to Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" or Mariah Carey's "Dreamlover"? Hahaha. They could have a scene where the X-Men attend a screening for The Bodyguard. Lol.

On a more serious note, while I agree that it is not a necessity, I hope they integrate a historical event into the plot. Apocalypse never fully utilized its 80's setting the way FC and DOFP did.

I'd go with either MJ--Michael Jackson or Michael Jordan.
