And it's because of this: the trilogy is all about Peter Parker becoming Spider-Man, overcoming his doubts about being a superhero and then overcoming his inner demons to move on...it was also about Ben Parker, and how the death of him gives Peter more courage to be the hero we all know he'll become...and it was also about Spidey's greatest nemesis, the Green Goblin. Even though Norman Osborn died in the first installment, he used his reckoning on Harry in the second and will also mentally torture him in the third movie to try and get Harry to kill Peter once and for all...and as we all know, the Green Goblin-era will end by the end of S-M 3 because Harry dies, by not following his father's footsteps (which I think is great because he doesn't wear a GG costume, hence why he doesn't kill him at the end as a true GOBLIN), and he helped Spidey live on. So with Spider-Man 3 ending, it'll end every question there is, it'll be the sum of the tie-ins of the whole franchise...and of course, if Spider-Man 3 is gonna be so great, how could someone even as great as Sam Raimi top this one, even with the symbiote Spidey, Venom AND Sandman...any thoughts on this? I'm just saying, Raimi obviously just wanted a trilogy if he continued the whole story with Norman...and if he would add in the Hobgoblin story, which I thought would be a great idea, I even sent a post about it, but realized it'll just be a cop-out and would be disappointing, and even dreadful with an orange goblin costume.
