I know that the movies are all handled by Sony Imageworks, but if we all had our way, it would really be a toss-up between ILM and WETA. So, if it were up to us, would you go with ILM or WETA?

On a personal note, I'd go with ILM because judging from 30 years of groundbreaking special effects, I have a great feeling if given the chance to they can create something spectacular for Spider-Man. Just think of this, an action sequence between Spidey, Venom, The Lizard, and dozens of Spider-Slayers that takes place 100 feet above the streets of New York city. I think that ILM can create digital characters that look and move way better than the characters done my imageworks, and ILM maybe can truly show us a better representation of spidey swinging across the new york skyline. Also, their Lizard has the potential to look effing menacing.

But that's just me, I wanna hear from the rest of you who should be doing the effects for Spidey

ILM did the new Star Wars right? if so then heck no, i thought Star Wars effects were pretty awful. then definatly WETA over them. WETA has impressed me with LOTR and King Kong more then any other special effects company

I would say WETA without question. But Sony is too greedy, they'll never share Spider-Man, even though they should to increase the quality, especially with WETA. No ILM, they've been slippin' for the last couple of years.

Imageworks does kinda suck. The Spidey effects could be so much better. I would be fine with either ILM or WETA.

No ILM, they've been slippin' for the last couple of years.

Even though they did Davy Jones?

F--- Davy Jones. A squid mouth, break out the champagne. :whatever:

it ain't ILM's fault though, it's just Lucas' odd fixation on how everything in the Star Wars universe should be shiny and rubberized :whatever:

I would go with either. They're both an improvement over what they have now. But I prefer ILM because Davy Jone's squid face actually was able to fool me.

ILM did wonders with POTC. But I was less than impressed with the STar Wars Prequels, Hulk or I, Robot in recent memory.

I'd go with WETA, personally. Except, Sony will never let it happen.

We should all watch Transformers and Fantastic Four 2 numerous times and make those movies really successful, so that sony would think that the reason these movies made more money than SM3 was because they had better VFX, so therefore that would lead to sony ditching Imageworks for SM4 and have them consider either ILM or WETA for the next one.

A pretty bad idea, but hey it could work =p
