Union Jack
Human Torch
Namor (not gonna happen :csad:)

oops, I chose more than four. I can see the invaders as sort of a superhero version of the European Union.

Spitfire and Union Jack for the United Kingdom
Jim Hammond (could be retconned for Russia)
Namor (but leave his origin for later)
and Toro

You could probably even put Peggy Carter in as a member of the French resistence.

I can see the Invaders as something like that as well. Something like that will help this film in the foreign market.

Union Jack and Spitfire for the UK.
Toro for Spain.
Red Guardian for Russia.

(Not on the List)
Blazing Skull for China.
Blue Bullet for Poland.

That's more then 4 but just some candidates I think would work.

Apetito

I like that very much Death's Head but wasn't Spain a fascist country during World War 2? I see the invaders + Captain America and James as metaphors for the allies and it might be considered offensive to use a character from a non allied country as an ally.

This may seem like folly but I would really love to see an Australian superhero somewhere in the background of the Invaders. Maybe use one of the old Golden Age superheros that Marvel could buy the rights to for cheap since no-one is using them. Someone like the Eagle or something...

Well I'd like to see Namor, Torch, and Union Jack (I wouldn't count Bucky in the poll because he's more than JUST one of the Invaders, and should be part of the movie even if the rest WEREN'T included). Sadly, Namor might be part of the Fantastic Four rights, in which case forget it, cause FOX ain't doin' anybody any favors. But then again, Universal had the rights to Sub-Mariner a while back and if THAT'S still the case maybe Marvel could arrange some kind of deal. OR, for all we officially know, maybe Marvel has the rights at this point and they're just not tipping their hand too early.

As for the Torch, I'm sure Marvel's rights to him are secure, what with him being a different character than the FF Torch, but given that he's still the same powers and name, it wouldn't surprise me if FOX TRIED some kind of legal action. Just look at the debacle over the "Watchmen" movie. FOX KNEW the whole time that Warner was making the movie, NEVER asked them to cease and desist, and then once the film was shot and ready for release they took 'em to court, strongarming them into either settling or having to delay the release of a project they'd poured millions into. I could totally see them TRYING something similar with Captain America over the Torch issue. Even though they wouldn't really have a case, because they're not the same characters, IF they timed such a legal complaint close enough to the release date they might have pressure on Marvel to settle, rather than Marvel taking the time to delay the release and go to court and PROVE their rights. And if little ol' me, just another fanboy, has thought of this possibility, I can GUARANTEE that Marvel has considered it too, and might just as soon not include the Torch at all rather than risk possible trouble over it. Probably the best option for including him would be an idea I've heard mentioned about just calling him "Toro", and not including the actual Toro character(who would be redundant anyway, especially in a movie with so many characters already).

IF they don't have Namor and the Torch I'd go with just Union Jack, and Destroyer(make him a part of the French resistance or something) and maybe a non-powered Spitfire.

I'd want Torch, Namor, Union Jack, and Spitfire.

But I get the feeling they're going to take a page from Ultimates 2 and make the "Invaders" a bunch of costumed non-powered heroes. Basically Union Jack plus.

well for me i dont know much on the invaders and members of the group. Though i think the group will probably be 4-5 members max. and for me out of the characters i know it will be cap, bucky, definately have to have union jack. Besides that who would be 1-2 other members i dont really know. though i doubt namor would be picked. He is just a tricky character and i rather hold him off for a different film ff reboot or his own solo adventure. So with that i dont know who else i would pick.

This is the way I think it should be done. Cap should be unique during WW2, he is the only superhero. The Invaders would consist of highly trained operatives Union Jack, Spitfire, and Toro. Bucky gets captured by Red Skull and Cap must join up with the Invaders to get him back.

I went with Bucky, Union Jack and Black Panther. I hate Namor, and I think that having the Human Torch in this film will be weird since Chris Evans is playing Cap (even though he played a different Human Torch). The other guys I don't really know that well, but I can't imagine them using a character called "The Whizzer." That's just a plethora of lame jokes waiting to happen.

Also, I think Michael Jai White would be an awesome Black Panther.

Am I the only one not that excited about having the Invaders in this flick? I wanted Cap to be the sole hero and focus of his first real movie. The first costumed hero in the Marvel U. Regardless, if they're in it then its Namor, Union Jack, and Human Torch with Cap and Bucky joining in.

Why is the Black Panther even in there? He wasn't an Invader, was he?

There's a new one shot coming out with Cap and T'Challa's grandfather or father as Black Panther fighting together in WW2. I thought it might be an interesting way to sneak him into the movies and get ready for a BP spin-off.

True. Change "Spain" to "Mexico."

I would be fine with that. Just as long as the team isn't only made up of the UK and US.

I'm pretty sure Cap will be the first costumed hero regardless. In fact my current theory is that Cap will inspire the other countries to create their own heroes and the Invaders will be a way to show how Cap inspired the world. And I'm sure they'll be more in the background with maybe one or two prominent members and the focus will be more on Cap.

But don't you think creating heroes takes away from Caps uniqueness? I mean, if every country could create heroes then Cap really loses something in my opinion. Superheroes should be a modern phenomenon that Cap encounters once he is unfrozen. I don't have a problem with the Invaders, but they should be non-powered highly trained operatives. The best of the best from their countries but not on Cap's level.

Yeah, I kind of just want it to be Cap vs. The Red Skull without a bunch of other characters. But what I'm hoping is that the Invaders will only be in there enough to show us Cap's leadership abilities (particularly with a group of superheroes) so that when the Avengers rolls around, he's obviously the best choice for the leader.

universal should totally let marvel use Namor. I mean what better way for them to do a Namor movie? He gets a long cameo in Cap, maybe even seen briefly in Avengers saying he cant participate in their mission, and bam! Universal already has built up interest for his solo movie without spending a dime.

OR they could giv ehim back to Marvel and everything will work out that way anyway lol!

It would be awesome if Hugh Jackman were to be in a Canadian Soldier's uniform on a WWII plane with Cap. He wouldn't even have to say anything and under credits it would just say canadian soldier and not Logan or Wolverine so FOX wouldn't be able to sue. HAHAHA

It would be a great!!!!!!!

***** Wolverine.

hope they put The Destroyer in. and keep the crazy mask but ditch the pinstripes. lol

was we know that wont happen since the licensed out characters are in their own universes and the marvel studios marvel films are a totally different one. I agree i rather stick with the invaders who dont really have powers per say so it makes cap the unique one of the bunch.

as far as powers go, i can see some of the Invaders having them. i mean think of it as a weapons race. as soon as the World sees Cap, everyone would probably try to make their own with varying results.
