Homecoming Which MCU characters should appear in Spider-Man (2017)?

I bet Sony wants Iron Man, but how many films is RDJ willing to do at this point?

My vote goes to a cameo of Stark or Banner for a laboratory scene ("Spider-man needs to have something he found in during his investigation of a crime scene checked out at a lab and goes to them" or something like that). And obviously some minor things like Stark/Avenger's tower in the background when he's going through New York, news paper articles talking about Stephen Strange.

Tough to say who should, but characters I'd love to see are Matt, Tony, Bruce and the Kingpin. Not all in one film, but sprinkled throughout the series.

I think a Spidey /DD crossover is definitely in the cards at some point, so it would be an obvious way to wet the appetites of the fans by laying the groundwork in a Spidey film (as well as the Netflix series).

Any of the street level heroes/villians would be fine (Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Scarlet Witch, Kingpin, Nick Fury and etc. )

Any/all of the Netflix heroes should at least make cameos, with only Daredevil, Kingpin having major roles in the movies.

Not that I would expect a whole host of people. This is just a list of what I think could be possible and what I'd like to see. If given the choice I'd probably just restrict it to a few that generally served the story (not counting blink and you miss it background cameos).

Tony Stark/Iron Man. He's one of the most important characters as well as a scientific genius akin to Peter Parker, plus depending on if/how he interacts with Peter/Spidey in Civil War.

Steve Rogers/Captain America. Like Iron Man he's one of the most important characters and depending on his possible interaction in Civil War.

Kingpin. I would like to see a bit of world building. Short cameo or even a reference. One of Spidey's most memorable villains. Perhaps Spidey could stop some low level thugs connected to Kingpin?

Coulson & Nick Fury. A SHIELD presence isn't the same thing it was in Iron Man 1 due to events of Winter Soldier, but it's possible Coulson could be interested in monitoring meta-humans.

Fitz & Simmons (with SHIELD). I think it would be funny to see Peter Parker with Fitz & Simmons just geeking out together.

Matt Murdoch/Daredevil. Maybe just a brief cameo as Matt. Perhaps on tv speaking in defence of a client.

Bruce Banner/Hulk. It would be nice to see Peter Parker meet Banner and idolise him for his scientific work.

Stark cameo. Tony and Norman having a go at each other.

Also I wouldn't mind seeing JJJ ranting about Avengers, Daredevil etc as well as Spider-man. It would be cool if we could see J.K. Simmons as JJJ cameoing around in other MCU properties too.

Similarly if Daredevil were to get a season 2 then I wouldn't mind a crossover with Spider-man taking on the Kingpin. Though a Spider-man/Daredevil film with Kingpin as the villain could make a good sequel too.

I have trouble picturing that. I don't see much parity between Quicksilver or Scarlet Witch and Johnny Storm. I think if they were to go a bit random then Sky/Quake could fit that bill a bit more naturally as the superhero best friend.

For some reason, I want to see William Hurt reprise his role as General Ross in maybe just a cameo for the movie. I feel The Incredible Hulk movie doesn't get enough recognition of being apart of the MCU. I think that because nobody in that movie(aside from the Stark cameo) is in another MCU movie. And with Ruffalo replacing Norton as the Hulk, it distances itself even more.

For his first solo film? I'd like a more self contained Spidey story. If any MCU characters are to be used, I'd say Kingpin. He was originally a Spidey villain, and I think him & DD can share him. Kingpin would be more of a supporting bad guy, connected in a mob war, while the main villain can be someone like Vulture.

Think about it. Why else would Marvel want Spider-Man for Civil War and how come Dr. Strange, the MCU film that directly precedes the 2017 reboot doesnt have any announced delays?

On a sidenote and totally unrelated, Spidey and Dr. Strange are both Ditko creations.

My opinion is that the first solo film shows the repercussions of Spidey's unmasking, and Dr. Strange will only show up at the end to initiate a global mind-wipe. The sequel to the 2017 re-reboot is basically MCU's take on Brand New Day.

For me, there's no need to "force" major MCU characters into Marvel's Spider-Man. I would love for the film to have minor MCU characters. Save the major cameo for the post-credits.

- Peter watches on TV a news report and the President is holding a press conference. The President is Matthew Ellis, played by William Sadler in Iron Man 3.
- Peter works at the Daily Bugle for a summer job. One of his colleagues at the Bugle is Christine Everhart.

Kingpin should be the only major MCU character for Marvel's Spider-Man.
