Next month, comes out what I think will be two great new on goings. Punisher: War Journal and The Immortal Iron Fist. I've seen the previews for both and really they're badass. For me personally, i'd go with Punisher: War Journal. I've always wanted to see more of Frank in the MU. And I think this series will do just that. Punisher against Stilt-Man looked so cool. So yeah, i'll be getting both, but I anticipate War Journal the most.

What about you guys?

iron fist, danny's a more interesting character. Franks great and everything but sometimes he can be a bit..."insert 80's action hero here" :csad:

Iron Fist, The Punisher is one of those characters I like but dont really grasp the broad appeal for him.

Iron Fist... I just don't understand why people love the Punisher he's never appealed to me.

If this was an open poll I'd vote for the Nova ongoing though, really looking forward to it.

IF because he hasn't had a decent book in years. I've been able to get my Punisher fix from Ennis over in the Max line. So, i'm hardly looking forward to War journal. Might not even get it at all.

Punisher War Journal. I have no interest in Iron Fist what so ever. Plus it'll be good to read a Punisher book where he has some interaction with the Marvel Universe. I also hope the MAX book keeps going as I love the more violent, crazy ass Punisher.

If it's along the lines of the Punisher from the Daredevil Vs. Punisher mini last year I'm down like James Brown, beotch.

Punisher: War Journal. I don't know much about that iron fist guy, and i'm not sure i really want to.

you do know he was one of the original heroes for hire right?

where's the both option damnit!

you do know he was one of the original heroes for hire right?

Meh, Heroes for Hire doesn't sound like it was anything awesome anyway.

Actually Heroes for Hire was pretty awesome. It was like the best of the best of the b-list characters.
It should have been way more popular than it was.

And I'm lookin forward to Iron Fist for sure. He's always been one of my favorite characters and he never gets enough spotlight. I hope this goes well.

Sidenote: There's a Nova ongoing coming up? when was this announced?

The appeal of the punisher, for me, and imo, a lot of other people is he doesn't take ANY **** off criminals. It's not about rehab and crap, it's about if you kill, if you rape, you die. No corrupt lawyers who care more about money thatn justice, no courts, no appeals....if frank knows you did it, you're dead. It's that simple. No excuses for the criminals, no BS, no ''ok now I'm handing you over to the cops''....just what they deserve, imo: fast, hot lead sandwhich.

That's his appeal to me. But that's just what I think.

Joey Q mentioned it a few weeks ago in Joe Fridays. It's by the same people who did the mini.

Can you say ''crime ridden ****hole''?

Because that's how england is now, buddy. Let me put it this way, compared to now, the england in v for vendetta looks pretty sweet to me.

If you could keep the politicians from becoming corrupt, it could work very well. And then you wouldn't have kids beating up 90 year old ladies for the change in their wallet (and yes this happens regularly in the uk).

actually I'm from england myself. I've lived in leicester, manchester, coventry, birmingham...some of the biggest **** holes in england and I still understand that while the justice system isn't perfect it still provides for the fact that sometimes the wrong person gets blamed. The problem with killing criminals is that there is no appeal if a mistake is made.

Seriously, stop reading the daily mail and get a clue :whatever:

Actually, if only a small percentage of mistakes were made, I'd bbe ok with it.

I mean some innocent people would die, but not as many as you would take murders off the streets. You would compensate any wrong family. I know its not the same but like I say, people are gonna die either way, why not choose the way with less casulties?

People like you who think you can have it both ways are being completely unrealistic, and living in la-la land. If one innocent person dies from death penalty by mistake and it saves ten other innocents, them Im ok with it.

The system isn't perfect, but it would work.

I'm not talking about the sparse use of american death penaltys. Im taking a trial, then no appeals, no delaying, straight away. And it would be automatic for rape, cold blooded murder, and crimes of a violent and sexual nature.

Hey I know you don't like my views ,but I could give a ****. I've seen liberals **** up england beyond recognistion, so I dont really tend to listen to them all that much.

I'm genuinely lost for words :wow: I'm sorry we killed your innocent father little girl, here's £10'000, that makes it all better.

Seriously man, turn on the us news some time, crime over here doesn't even compare and they've not dropped the legal system. This is england, not bagdad. Drop the sensationalist crap and open your eyes :whatever:

so you're changing your argument to include a trial now? Your own previous statment was that this is where most of the corruption occurs

That's the difference between you and me, I listen to people's arguments and then come up with a counterpoint. Rather than just ignoring things I don't like :whatever:

Crime here doesn't compare to the us? No **** man. Does that have anything to do with the fact they are far bigger than us, with far more people? what they do have is a right to arm themselves and defend their homes. we dont. remember tony martin? he went to jail for shooting a robber, and the liberals introduced a law to (and I quote) ''protect burglers from violent home owners''. Yeah, our law is fantastic.

No, I said no trial was the appeal of punisher to me. He deals with criminals, not maybes.

Oh yeah, and what do you do? ''sorry your dad was stabbed by some yob who has been put away for rape and murder twice already and released after seven years...have a cookie?''.

You don't understand that if they were found guilty (and courts use something newfangled called ''evidence'') it wasn't something that was rushed. People debated the evidence. So yeah, if you're found guilty, chances are you are 98% of the time.

No England isn't bagdad, but crime is certainly out of control here. If you think otherwise, then you really do live in some kind of fantsy land. Wow, if I lived there, I think everything would be all nice and perfect too.

Great discourse, yet I dont get the appeal of The Punisher. "Ill kill 100 people an issue" That doesnt get old at all....
