Which of these squads have a chance at beating Dr. Doom or Thanos?

'B' could beat both Doom and Thanos. 'A' could beat Doom, maybe Thanos depending how ya swing it.

I think that B would be a lock to take it to either the Mad Titan or Doom just from a power, knowledge and resources aspect alone. The wielder of the Power Cosmic, THE Sorcerer Supreme, the Strongest One There Is and the King of Atlantis. Squad A? I think they could defeat the villains too but it wouldn't be without significantly more effort than B. Honestly, power wise they only have Hulk and in terms of intellect you have Cap's experience and BP's genius. BP and Cap are the X factors really. They have the leadership skills and determination to pull off a win but again, this is Doom and Thanos we are talking about. I would put a bit more faith in the disfunctional Defenders over a squad of pro Avengers given these two line ups given no other context.

Any one of Squad B could give Doom a rough time (Surfer most of all, IMO). Dr. Strange's power levels fluctuate *madly,* so it's hard to judge. He's a Sorcerer Supreme who has straight up beaten near cosmic entity level powers and lords of Hell dimensions. He once cast a spell that brought Galactus to his knees. He's had his cloak and amulet solo fight a demon-god because he was busy doing something else at the time. He's casually used the Crimson Bands of Cytorrak to shut the Hulk down. And then there's other times, when Bendis has him as an Avenger, and he's pretty much ineffectual. With this Last Days of Magic stuff, he's probably at the low end again.

Working together, Squad A could probably take down Doom, with Hulk and War Machine covering most of the heavy lifting.

Squad A probably has no chance against Thanos. He's pretty buff.

Squad B could take him, as long as he doesn't have some sort of Infinity Gauntlet Plot Device handy.

Both A and B could take the fight to Doom. If Doom was written as badass as he should be then he'd have a good fight but likely win against team A but Team A might pull out a win. Team B can counter a good amount of what Doom can throw at them and overwhelm him in many ways. Magic to magic, various powers against power cosmic and Brute force to wear him down.

Against Thanos, Team A is Fubbernucked. Unless it's incompetent Thanos-Copter Thanos. They don't have the raw power to stand against him, never mind take him on. Dude managed to take on Galactus without the Infinity Gauntlet/Cosmic Cube and fight him to a standstill. A very hungry Galactus but still.

Team B has the power, energies and magic to at least hit him to a standstill. Surfer and Strange can counter a lot of what he can do with Hulk and Namor pounding away to distract him and/or hurt him enough to try and put him down. It'd be close so I could see it going either way.
