Which PS3 games to get?

Hi all, i got a new PS3 this past Christmas and now I am in search of games to get. The games i like play are action adventure and RPG games. Scifi and Fantasy are the top genres I am looking mostly scifi if there any urban (or modern) fantasy games out their even better. They games I have played and own(ed) were FFVII (I own) &FFX, Resident Evil 1 and 5 (which I own) and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 (I own)& 2. Any ideas or suggestions?

Fallout 3 is fantastic

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune and Uncharted: Among Thieves are MUST OWNS! If you have a PS3 and dont have these 2 games then you aren't a true PS3 owner. They are 2 of the systems best and 2 of THE best games this gen. Go get those games.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is fantastic if you are a fan of the series.

I'd say that covers the top tier games thus far, with GoW III and Gran Turismo 5 being two huge exclusives coming down the pike in 2010.

Any modern-day/urban fantasy type games like Hellboy, Harry Potter and/or Percy jackson type? it doe s not have those exact titles. Like myth and fantasy world exists in the modern age.

Uncharted is kind of like that, it has a Indiana Jones vibe going for it where you're searching ancient ruins and whatnot. And Assassin's Creed II mixes Renaissance history with current (or future) time. Both Fallout 3 and Bioshock mix 1940/50's atmosphere with futuristic scariness. And Final Fantasy XIII will pretty much be what you're talking about (I think it comes out in March). Also, unrelated, Metal Gear Solid 4 is just awesome.

Based on what you've mentioned you'd like, I'd say these games would be the ones to get.

Legendary is a game set in the "modern age" with mythological stuff in it, but by all accounts it's terrible.

It doesn't take place in modern times but if you're into Greek mythology, then God of War would most definitely be up your alley.

I was wondering if there were any PS3 games that has arishps in them that you can pilot, upgrade and do battles? Also are there any that you has adventures with airships other than FF series?

Okay dude, now you're being way too specific. I mean, who says airships is an essential part of my video gaming tastes.

Well the games i like to play on console are RPG, Action, Action-RPG, Adventure and some puzzle and for the types are sci-fi, fantasy, horror, science fantasy, modern-fantasy. I do not like war games, FPS (better on PC) or games you control a party (sometimes if its in combat mode like the FF series).

The games I have downloaded for demo and like so far are:

Infamous
Rocketmen
Trine

I noticed that most RPG console games don't really let you create the type of of character you want to play from scratch like traditional pnp rpgs and no playable races, mostly humanoids which I really dislike.

If you want an RPG that let's you create your own character and doesn't involve a party, get Fallout.

It's in first person, but it's not a FPS. It's pretty ****ing awesome.

Out of all those demos you downloaded, Infamous is the only one I'veheard is good.

Yea fallout or oblivion. Imo Oblivion is better and prettier to look at to boot heh. and you can play different races. From weird animal people to elves.

airships? Warhawk? lol.

otherwise from the list you provided the only one worth anything is infamous.
