I have to disagree with the bolded statement. WB churned out Catwoman, Jonah Hex, Green Lantern and (my guilty pleasure) Suicide Squad, four of the worst films of all time. (The only reason I left out Batman & Robin and Superman 3 & 4 is that those were made so long ago.) Those four movies are just as soul-crushingly awful as Fant4stic was. The only difference is that the WB disaster movies don't look quite as cheap as Trank's bomb did. However, the studio managed to squander a lot of A-list talent in those movies, some of whom took years to shake off the stigma of being involved in such dreck.
GL is so hideous that I actually apologized for taking people to see it. I was mortified. It was on TBS the other day and I watched a bit of it to see if it was as bad as I remember. It was worse.![]()
I don't personally think any of those movies were as bad as Fant4stic, but they do come close. I really wasn't thinking through all the WB movies and was focusing more on the relatively recent ones.
When I really think back through everything, WB does have a spectacularly bad record, including this gem:

I still don't think they have anything as bad as Fant4stic, but they have 4 or 5 that are very close, so that's pretty impressive.
He's taking into account their entire filmography and not the handful of films that turned out well.
I mean, maybe, but by "handful" we are talking 5 out of the last 7 superhero movies they made.
By handful I mean 5 out of 16 movies and the buzz on their upcoming films only helps my case.
I don't think this thread is about cherry-picking what movies we do and don't want to take into account.

Out of curiosity how so? Are Logan and Deadpool, or for that matter First Class and DOFP, not comic booky enough?
A little bit, because I think the Fox under Stacey Sneider is a very different studio than the one under Tom Rothman. And we've seen that reflected in the kind of movies that get made, not just superhero movies. Look at also the Planet of the Apes films, more productions like The Revenant and The Post...
I'm getting sidetracked. In this last decade, they've had a solid track record outside of Fan4stic and X-Men: Apocalypse, the latter of which is not nearly as bad IMO as some make it out to be. Either way, how are movies like the Deadpool films, Logan, DOFP, First Class, and hell even The Wolverine not "comic booky?"
