Which Superhero has the BEST and WORST gallery of Villans?

As much as Dr. Doom was a misfire, nothing can beat Non, every SIII villain and Nuclear Man in terms of ridiculousness, don't you think?

What's a Non? Is SIII supposed to be Superman III or something else? Why do people on these boards always assume everyone will immediately recognize every acronym or abbreviation they use? Just type the full title. ;)

It's Superman III, and Non is the non-verbal henchman for General Zod in the first two.

In terms of the overall series or franchise, I'd agree with the consensus that the Batman movies have had the best villains, and as bad as Ross Webster, Gus Gorman, Ross Webster's sister (I wanna say Vera?), and Nuclear Man were, and although the comic egotistical career criminal that is Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor doesn't do much for me, I'd have to say the superhero movie series that's had the worst or lamest villains is Ghost Rider. I've almost completely forgotten who the villain in Spirit of Vengeance even was. Beyond Batman, the X-Men, Spider-Man, and Superman, I can really only speak to the rogues galleries of the various superhero movies, because in most of these cases, I haven't read enough - I'm not too familiar with the rogues galleries of Iron Man, The Fantastic Four, or, well, Ghost Rider, for instance.

Another thing to consider is how many movies each franchise has. That's why the fairest comparison, to me, is Batman vs. Superman. Maybe TASM, too. The rest just don't have as many movies as the aforementioned franchises.

I think X-men is comparable, they've had what? Five films?

Ah, yes, indeed. But other than XMOW, I didn't have a big problem with any the villains.

Daredevil had it pretty bad in his movie. A WASPy, non-Greek Elektra, a black Kingpin and a terrible Colin Farrell Bullseye. Okay.

Batman has the best and worst at the same time! Remember Mr. Freeze, or how weird the Penguin was in the old movies? But the new ones are pretty neat, I think it's just about how you portrait them…

Me, too. The only Bat-villains I outright disliked were B&R-Bane and Ivy. The rest vary from serviceable to genius.

Hmm I actually hope we never see Ivy on film again. But that's just me.

I completely dislike Ivy as a villain, and not due to B&R. So, I agree with you.

Oh yeah I hate comics Ivy as well. Never seen any version or take on the character that appeals to me, which is basically the only time I've felt that way with a bat villain.

Indeed, come to think of it, there's no other high profile Bat-villain I just don't care about at all.

Batman, Spider-Man and the X-Men have excellent villains.

If we're talkin' comics then I think Hulk's rogues are underrated, its just that they don't really fit together the same way Spidey or Bats "animal/psycho" theme does. I mean Leader, Abomination, Ross,Maestro, Devil Hulk, The U-Foes... All really great villains.

1. Batman

2. Spidey

Batman has the best rouges gallery of any comic book character PERIOD.

X-Men's rouges is pretty darn good.

Spidey's rouges gallery is okay but not great.

Superman's rouges gallery SUCKS. Just look at the movies, every one of the either has Zod or Lex as the villian (even the upcoming Man of Steel has Zod as the main villian AGAIN).

Hulk's rouges gallery is garbage.

On film Superman has the worst

SM I:Luthor
SM II: Zod and Luthor
SM III: Luthor knockoff, Richard Pryor and Luthor knockoff's sister
SM IV: Luthor and Nuclear Man

Superman Returns: Luthor, a Kryptonite Island and Kumar

MOS: Zod again.

Good grief, change it up already

The best rogues gallery belongs to Batman.

I'd have to think about the worst, but Superman definitely comes to mind.
