^why alpha flight? you cant just say that and leave us hanging! lol. current avengers line-up, with sentry mentally stable, and ronin included, should be unbeatable in my opinion. otherwise i vote thanos and galactus. no offense but this is a rubbish question. how can you compare DD and SM to galactus and thanos in terms of power??

Why Alpha Flight? They've got some of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe (Shaman, Sasquatch etc.) but they're always downplayed.

The Alpha Flight, specifically the Bryne incarnation but others as well, is like a veritable Justice League of Marvel

Guardian: Something of a mini-Iron Man. His suit is extremely versitile and gives him a good deal of strength/speed. He ought to be a match for Captain Britain to say the least.

Box (Madison Jefferies): Think Iron Man now, except on steriods and with superpowers. The man can, with a thought, control technology. All technology. He can make bodyarmor and robotics of collossal size.

Shaman is at least near Dr Strange's level, plus he has that pouch of his

Northstar and Auora provide the team with a much needed speedster and light manipulation element.

Talisman is a lighter version of Shaman

He's been placed in class 70, wholly inferior to what he has been shown to be capable of. He isn't as strong as the Hulk, but he can hang with him for a short while.

Sasquatch may be as smart as the Beast but he is certainly not any smarter. His known intellectual feats are not even close to the range of Beasts. Shaman is a relatively minor mage and has been stated in the Alpha Flight title to be well short of the master category that includes Strange, Mordo, Clea, Mr Jip,etc. If they have upgraded him since the original series folded then maybe someone can post some of the new feats. Guardian is reasonably powerful but not exceptionally so. When he injured Moira MacTaggert and was attacked by Banshee he ran like hell because he didn't know whether his battle suit could take that kind of punishment.

I'd read through both threads Harlekin and I posted before you start talking about Alpha Flights limitations ...sigh no one reads Alpha Flight so they write them off.
