No, I'm pretty sure it's not even her.

There was an article about her requesting a body double.

I know nothing about the source material, a guy I work with told me it's about people in Alaska with a monster.

Either way, the movie doesn't look very interesting, I may just end up waiting for netflix.

The guy at work is wrong.

The fact it was done filming in mid-2007 and had multiple release dates should've been a giveaway this was a bomb.

So it's a bomb, fine.

But an 8 percent rating at RT? Is it really THAT bad?

I saw it today, it's a bit undercooked with some clunky dialog and ordinary direction, it also reveals it's story in a very TV movie exposition kind of format, but it is still a decent little atmospheric thriller with a good performance from Kate Beckinsale (Though some might miss the more miserable cuss heavy Carrie of the books), all in all nowhere near as bad as the critics have made out IMO.

Bit late of replying to this film, I did end up seeing it.
I pretty much agree with HR, I didn't think it was as bad as critics or Rotton tomatoes made it out too be.
Some newspapers gave it 1 star I didn't think it deserved that much low of a rating.
It was a typical thriller, the twit of who the killer was kinda of easy to guess but I read the book so know the story, some characters where missing from the novel.
CGI was not as bad as I read it too be was watchable really. Kate's acting was good I liked the back history also.
Support cast although I only seen one in Moonlight before they where good.

Overall I wasn't sure what to think of the film don't know if I liked it or not so it was ok lol
