Who can pull Robin and Nightwing out of the crap they've become?

SHUT UP YOU GUYS Whedon could write about Methuselah and it would be good. He has never done anything wrong in his life let alone write anything poor. One time he touched a blind women and she turned into a SEEING MAN. When Whedon eats Grape-Nuts he poops out Corn Pops and you know you gotta have those.
Well, Corn Pops are by far the superior cereal... You make a compelling case.

Plus he is the master of supporting casts:o

If by supporting casts you mean people who pop-off pop culture references every line then sure.

pfft quit saying stupid things before I decide to quit being your friend. and make no mistake, that will drop your hype status tenfold. One time I quit being Corp's friend and he almost stabbed himself to death. But he just read some Superman Birthright instead and it was punishment enough. Then I became his friend again and now he glows with life

Wolfman probably could, if he hasn't lost touch with his 'inner-Nightwing'. My worries is that he been so far unattached with Nightwing that he might not remember what made him work in the first place....plus remember, Marv relied on Dick's teammates (The Titans) to help mold Dick's character into place.

I'm worried, that while Marv was great when Dick was a leader of a team...
he might pale compared to what he was if Dick's a loner.
Except Wolfman's best Nightwing story was Batman: Year Three, and not a Titan story. I trust Wolfman to do the character HE created justice. He may not have come up with Dick Grayson, but he made him a man.

Hey guys, it could be worse....
it could be Devin Grayson writing NIghtwing again. Man its a shame, the only writer with the closest ties (Name wise) to Dick, seems to somehow miss touching that *essential* quality that only few writers have been able to do.
Maybe they should do what the director for Superman Returns did, forget all the big name actors, and get someone fresh unknown who doesn't have so much star power but is familiar with the mechanics of their trade. They did it with Chris Reeve and now Brandon Routh.
Perhaps that should be applied in this situation too??
What do you guys think?
Oddly enough, as horrible as she was at Nightwing's solo book, she handled him awesome in Titans, and if DC would give her an Arsenal ongoing I would cream my pants, because shes the best at writing Roy.

====================

I don't know about her handeling Dick in the Titans was what I would call 'awesome'. He felt somewhat odd to me there. Like someone trying to fit back into some old clothes long after he/she outgrew them. I have to admit, she brought Roy into the spotlight with his relationship with Damage. And I was looking forward to seeing Jesse in the leader position, or even Argent.
But her run in the Titans, didn't have that "Titan"-feel to it when they 'Titans' book came out with Argent and Jesse Quick.
What was missing from that series was the detailed way Marv would carefully develop each character and supporting cast.
I'd give her an "A" for effort, but the final product "C-".
The concept of each Titan's book was always about strangers turning into friends and then forming a family with one another.
I fear she failed in that respect, because she recycled the previous Titans and just made some stories with them.....I mean come on...anyone remember that issue where Kory came back and had everyone wearing foil on their heads? (okay, that may/may not be Devin's work, but HELLO!!!!)
I remember when The Titans stood up against the likes of Trigon, and Brother Blood (can we say Earth-shattering/nail bitting/edge of our seats please, thank you) crisis type proportions.
Sure they they went up against the fearsome five (was it during their first few issues)....from then on....it went down hill.
Of course we Titan fans still got the book, but the essence/soul wasn't there anymore.

"I mean come on...anyone remember that issue where Kory came back and had everyone wearing foil on their heads?" Yeah, I also remember that that was written by Tom Peyer, not Devin Grayson. Devin's solo run at writing the series didn't last all that long, and hers were the best issues of the 50 issue series. She did 1-12 alone, 13-14 with Jay Faerber, 15-16 alone, and 17-20 with Faerber before handing it off to him alone. Her Nightwing felt right with the context of this version of the team, and her Roy and Donna relationship expanded it where Haney had first led it all those years ago. And as you said, she brought Roy into his own in the Titans, but even more so in how she handled him in his own mini-series and a teamup oneshot with Batman. And lets be honest here, even Peyer's foil hats was better than the whole Jurgens "Titans" series...

It's true. I haven't had to use a flashlight in months.

Nightwing is going downhill because of the two nightwings that is the problem, turn jason back into red hood and kill villians like a new DC punisher and give Dick a descent story arc

Robin?????.....i just don't know, i can't work miricals

don't anyone say whedon can, he's a warlock not a god

I'd like to see Dick and Jason go at it.....
It would be interesting to see who would win.....
The First Robin vs. The Deadliest Robin.
I know it's just now DC is making Jason as the better fighter between the two, but I'd like to see story develop between the two men.

I agree about Jason being NIghtwing...it does't work....what's next, he'll bag Kory and all the other left over of Dick's romantic life just because Dick did it first?

I'd like to see Jason go off and find his place in the world, rather then being a copycat of Dick.

Whedon is alright...

Too far, puss. Too far.

I'm not saying Whedon isnt a good writer. But come on. His entire AXM run has been rehash after rehash. New spandex costumes. Yet another alien enemy. Yet another pointless ressurection. Yet another dark Xavier secret. Emma Frost essencially loosing 12 plus years of the character growth to be a villian. Again. Enjoyable or not, theres nothing new or exciting about Whedon's run.

Wait a minute....
Is that Whedon's plan? To have yet another pointless ressurection???

If that is, baracade him outside of New York then
