So who do you want to be the the next villain for the next X-men movie?

BY the way it's Mr Snister and The Marauders. Not Sinister Six because Sinister Six is a villain team of Spider-man.

Give something fresh, not Sentinels again.

They talked about Proteus, and he's not at the list?

I'm sorry. I meant The Marauders

Sinister is the most obvious choice. Unlike past minions in this film though, the Maurarders never really had much personality, so they could get by with little to no character development. If Sinister is around, I want him obsessed with Scott and Jean, especially her power potential. In this event, they should probably skip the Mutant Massacre. It wold be cool if Havok were revealed as a Maurarder and we'd later find out that Sinister cloned him

The one and only Nathaniel Essex! And I want to see the Marauders except for Arclight and Riptide, we already saw those two before!

Personally I think the next villain(s) should be as one-dimensional and straightforward as possible.

What the franchise desperately needs is to focus on the heroes for once, I don't see any point in bringing into the mix a villain that'd require lot of development and that will inevitably either get the shaft to the fans' disappointment (Apocalypse) or steal the show at the expense of the protagonists (Magneto).

It's time to let the freaking titular characters finally get their chance to shine.
That's why I'd go with the Brood, the Phalanx or Shadow King. Villains with simple motivations and plenty of minions for the X-Men to fight against and showcase their powers and teamwork skills.

I would say the Phalanx... But only Jubilee and Sabertooth (I think,) would be fair game to be on the rescue team, as Emma Frost and Banshee are dead. Those four were the heroes in that storyline, and it led to the rescue and formation of Generation X.

I would say Bastion and the Prime Sentinels... And play it out like they did in the comics. He hates mutants and would want to kill them all... Even at the risk of harming humans in the process. Starting with wanting to destroy the X-Men, Jubilee would be captured and tortured by Bastion, Prime Sentinels, and his soldiers. It would give her big development and be certain to showcase her powers during her initial fight and escape attempts. Unknown to her at first, the other X-Men (Jean, Scott, Kurt, Storm, etc,) would be captured by him and soon be killed... Until she manages to free them by unlocking their cages by hitting the control room computers while Bastion tried to probe her mind for info on mutants. The team would escape and not realize that Jubilee was there at all. They would all fight Bastion and the sentinels through much of the film... Tons of power combos and saving civilians for a change. Television reports would show rescue scenes and secure the X-Men as good guys. Younger mutants that could possibly form Generation X would get power cameos. Jubes would befriend one of the guards and in turn, would be released. She would join the rest of the team in a final stand off against Bastion. The film would end with several of the main team deciding to lead/teach the younger generation of mutants... While Xavier still overlooked everything at the main location.

My vote goes to Simon Kinberg
lol

For once, we are in (near) complete agreement
Shadow King would be awesome
the aliens thing, maybe not though, faceless hoards have grown tiresome (that one is the two Avengers films' fault)

Maybe... Mojo? He could be a lot of fun....
{runs awayy}

Problem with Mojo is it could be called a Hunger Games/Maze Runner/YA in general ripoff.

Space already done by Guardians of the Galaxy.

Astral Plane, after Doctor Strange isn't going to be that revolutionary.

Now, the Savage Land could be a novel thing in a CBM but it's not with Fox.

All I know is, I think the next movie should open with a 10 min action scene of the X-Men battling THE JUGGERNAUT. The proper Juggernaut.

I actually had that exact same idea for a fan script of mine

You read my mind :sly:

Great minds think alike. ;)

Seriously, we should definitely get an opening action sequence with Juggy, what great way to open a movie, I think.

Unless Juggernaut and Black Tom Cassidy appear as Deadpool villains or something. We could finally see that Juggernaut/Colossus battle that was planned during X3.

Agree about simple villains. Shadow King might be good. (I'd dig Mojo too) Could be a good way to bring in Psylocke again too. This film already had a psychic battle so while I'm sure Doctor Strange's astral plane will be much more colorful and well realized than Charles and Apocalypse's battle, the X-Men already somewhat did it so it wouldn't be too weird if they did it again.

I don't remember what they are called but I think they were the villain in Grant Morrison's "New X-Men": They were a kind of cult made up of humans who used to surgically put mutant bodyparts on/in their body to get their powers. Make fear the reason behind their actions and you got a unique, kinda dark,(for a superhero movie) morally complex premise, where you can still focus on the mutants and them struggeling with the moral dilemma that lies at the core of the villains.
You don't need THAT high of a budget for this, too. 160 million at most should do the trick.

Gonna be Sinister.

Fox hasn't reached Marvel's level setting up villains several movies/years in advance (Thanos in Avengers)

if they go with Sinister, then they still wont

I dont see why Fox should have to worry themselves with any of this

FYI, Xmen did the Astral plane in Apocalypse

Definitely Proteus for me, make it smaller, more intimate. It would be an emotional story as well with Proteus involved. Leave Magneto, Mystique and Beast out, just have Xavier and the team from the end of Apoc vs Proteus, with Moira involved of course.
