Who has this book?

The cover is awesome. Thanks for sharing Retro and BMM :)

Btw, what does these two pages represent? Characters intros, designs...? Who's the artist?

Yeah, I saw this book at Barnes and Noble for $75, but yeah it's much cheaper online. Funny how they quietly released this book. I didn't know it existed until a week or two ago. I remember the back cover had a shot of the cast from X2, among shots from the comics. Looked cool, and the cover was nice cushioned leather (or pleather?). It was in plastic, but the quality seems very high, and felt expensive and heavy. I know what I want for the holidays! :D

I’m sure there are more, but here a couple that stand out.

These pages are one example of the “X-Treme Close-Ups” found throughout the book. X-Treme Close-Ups are basically brief character biographies, and this is Jean Grey’s. The top left picture is penciled by Jack Kirby, and the one beneath it is illustrated by Barry-Windsor Smith. The large picture featured on the right is the work of Chris Bachalo.

Yeah, I completely forgot about it too. I remember thinking we had a long time to wait when information was first posted about it months ago . . . Before I knew it, it was already October, but I hadn't heard anything of the book's release. . . . then I randomly remembered it about a month ago, and found it at the bookstore. Unfortunately, the shot of the cast from X2 among other comic shots is only an insert page. The back of the book is bare.

The old version of Iceman as Snowman is SO funny! :D
I want that book...it looks gorgeous!

very nice- my family are determined to get it offline- they don't like putting their details online- paranoid!

I got it from Amazon.co.uk - cost was £23 (=$44), shipping was free under the 'free super saver delivery' option (free shipping on order over a certain cost). I don't know how that delivery option applies to those outside the UK.

Free delivery would also apply on amazon.com for those in the US.
I'll try to find somewhere else that has it cheaper. If not online there must be some bookstore that has it. *crosses fingers*

Sounds like you were lucky.

Any bookstore could order it if you go in armed with the title and the ISBN code number. Only downside to the Amazon UK version is that it's a paperback, while Amazon US stocks the hardcover. I prefer hardcovers, as they are less prone to damage.. However... I do have paperback X-books, so I decided to go for it, as there were only two in stock at the time.

For a book like this i'd prefer the hardcover but if its paperback i won't loose sleep over it.

Yeah, me too. I've been looking for cheaper prices too but nothing to find (yet).

Mine arrived today! It's huge! And they sent the hardcover instead of the paperback! Yippee! Total cost £23.10. And for the size of the book, it's worth it! :woot: :woot: :woot:

Yeah, it's because it's so heavy. But still a great deal, otherwise I should've paid the full retail price + shipping costs.

is there any new promo pic from the films or not?

No, there are not any new promotional pictures from the movies.

i went into the biggest comic shop in liverpool and there was nothing. if you do order it though it will be full priced unlike online that is cheaper

ooh thanks masterj-hopefully it will be the same order in price

Huh, 68,70 euros at my local bookstore. It's about 87,15$ / 45,35£.

wow it would cost you less to import it
