Who here is actually going to give twentieth century fox their money for this movie? With reports of Gavin Hood being infuriated by the way Rothman is treating him, with how they wanna treat gambit and dudepeel... with how lazily this movie is being slapped together...will you still pay to see it?

You know it's so funny I was thinking about making a thread like this earlier today at work. I was talking to my co-workers about doing a midnight showing with me when the time comes. I'll be seeing it  I'm starting to get very excited, whereas in the beginning I was sort of meh and so-so about it.

Poll should be something like

- I'll be at the midnight showing!
- Opening weekend for sure!
- I might get around to it, depending on word-of-mouth.
- This movie's not getting my money at theaters since they still refuse to give Wolverine yellow spandex.

No, because of Gambit. :oldrazz:

It depends on if I can get anyone to go with me. I don't care about all the complaints about Fox.

Chances are I probably will. I don't like Fox's business decisions but I'm way too much of an X-Fan to resist the temptation. Especially with all the cameos. Fox knew they would lure people like me to this film. Damn it, they knew it.

Plus the final product looks like an enjoyable film as a whole.

How exactly do they wanna treat Gambit? Well?
I'm going to pay Fox to see this movie. Why should I not? Isn't that the right thing to do?

I'll see it, if I can that is.

I'm not. The stuff from ORIGIN and the brother aspect between Jackman and Schreiber would be too annoying for me to truly enjoy the movie. I'd go see a sequel based on Claremont/Miller if it wasn't too tied in to the events of this movie.

It's not. Fox is evil, and giving them money is like kicking a nun in the nuts.

You're not watching it because you don't like the brotherhood between Jackman and Schreiber???

that's probably the greatest aspect of the film.

oh well.

I expect it will be very well acted, especially by Screiber; but I just can't get into it. Too much prior conviction about how that relationship 'should' work.

I will.

Im not very exited, but it looks like a good popcorn flick.

You saying you wanted the Father/Son thing or just the enemies for unknown circumstances thing?

Haha, so I haven't been making .gifs/avvies from this movie since the first trailer or not? Or was that my evil sellout tiwn :oldrazz:

But I was being nice to the ladies, who went all crazy about Gambit (some guys too, apparently. ahem)

I prefer father/son, but them being unrelated though Creed hating Logan because he's sloppy seconds works for me too.

Haha, ohh you're talking about me using my own work. Hey no one picked it up after I posted it. So I'm using my own creation.

Sue me. :word:

Unless the reaction from the fanboy crowd and the critics circle alike, far surpasses what I'm expecting this movie to be, I won't catch it until it hits the $10 DVD bin (if it appears to be an OK offering). I just don't trust the effort.

fair enough, but I gotta ask - how would one film that?

you saying you WOULD watch this movie if the elements of ORIGIN and the brothers Logan had been removed and were replaced by the father/son arc?

I don't think it would work considering how much Schreiber looks like Jackman in the movie.

I'll wait until I hear good things from fans. By then it'll probably be too late to catch it in the theater.

Yes.

Though in that case LS would probably have been the wrong guy to be Sabretooth in relationship to Jackman's Wolverine. Had another actor been Wolverine then maybe he would've been the right guy for daddy Sabretooth, if you catch my drift.

He 'feels' like Jackman's brother, not his father... which makes him pretty much perfect for this role.
