This is a follow up thread from "Who here continues to want a Punisher 2?". Let's see how many still feel the same.:unishr:

Only have seen the Dolph Lundgren one

bought the TJ one last week end but haven't watched it yet...

I'm looking for some Max line stories, or the latest serie of War journal (Hate monger take that you punk:unishr:)

I'll wait until I see some production photos and a trailer before I decide.

I'll probably see it four times at least, gotta support my man Frank.

I saw the 04 version three times in the theater, I've gotta give this version at least that chance.

I'll go see it out of curiosity. I only just found out that Ray Stevenson is playing the part. I would have liked to have seen Jane in another one that had a better script, but am equally open to another actor's interpretation.

It's a shame as I thought the role would of benefited from one actor of a few movies...but als such is life.

I'll probably go see it.

Right now, I'm definitely leaning towards seeing this film.

Stevenson looks like a good choice, I'm pleased by his and Lexi's enthusiasm towards the project, and the plot synopsis sounds pretty good. So far, all signs are positive.

I can't wait. It sounds excellent. Wish Tom was still involved, but willing to give the new guy a chance...:unishr:

A true Punisher fan won't accept just any crap.

I was waiting for that response, touche! But yet, many true Punisher fans to this day still like and accept the Dolph Punisher movie (which is crap). Hey one man's crap is another man's treasure, I guess. I also made this poll to see how many out there had changed their mind from an earlier poll where the majority said they would never see this movie because without Jane it would suck. It seems now we are a bit more open minded to the idea of a new Punisher. :unishr:

I agree with that. My mind has opened up more to a new Punisher actor. I'm still wanting Jane to come back, but there is no use in whining about it anymore because it won't help the situation. I'm still holding my final decision until I see some set pics and a trailer.

I bet you are going to see it. :woot:

I'll go see it and make up my own mind if it is good or not.

It looks like the majority are willing to move on without Jane. I believe after losing their main star Lionsgate & Marvel are now trying harder than ever to make a good movie. We need to thank Jane because without him we wouldn't be getting another Punisher movie (he fought real hard for the sequel, it's too bad he quit).:unishr:

doesn't anyone of you wonder if actually jane wasn't holding the project from going further?
I'm not too familiar with his involvement in the Punisher, but all of a sudden, when Jane said he was out, they got a new director and their main actor.. and the project seems to be coming back from abyss...

What do you think?

With all the rapid movement on the project since his departure, the thought had crossed my mind.

I have felt this way ever since Jane departed... he made it known at some point shortly before he quit that he had script approval rights. I have no doubts that he is what stopped the movie from entering production for so long. Some people may feel that he was holding out for a better script, but with the emphasis he put on hand to hand combat, I never got that excited about his ideas.

While it's just business and nobody should be labeled a "bad guy"... well, you see where I'm going with this.
