Who is Batman's true-love?

For all the same reasons, I actually quite like the idea of Bruce and Wonder Woman. It makes perfect sense from his perspective, as he would never have to worry about her safety at all. It would also be a great mirror of Lois and Clark's relationship, with gender and power reversed.

Wonder Woman is EVERYBODY´s choice, from Superman fans to Batman´s, Aquaman´s............. G´nor´s..........

I bet if I were to bother searching, I ´d find Thor and Wonder Woman shrines and fanfics somewhere in the net.

Sure, but I think it makes a good deal of sense for Batman, unlike those others that you mention.

I think Wonder Woman and Aquaman make the most sense together, myself. I liked Batman with Sasha Bordeaux. Too bad he was a *****e about it. Now she's banging Mr. Terrific.

See?

I bet I could make a case for a Blue Beetle/WW or Huntress/WW if I tried hard enough.

In fact, it is quite clear that Sasha has had a significant change of character in the missing year, much like Dick Grayson. The context of her liason with Mr Average in Checkmate hinted quite heavily that she was manipulating him in some way. Either way, it is a bit of a cop out: after the kiss at the end of the OMAC Project, it is a let down that almost equals Dick's apparently failed marraige.

Sasha had a significant change of character way before the missing year regarding Batman. They knew a long time ago that it'd never work out, which is why she moved into the spy game in the first place. I saw that kiss at the end of The OMAC Project as a last kiss goodbye, myself.

I hate the idea of Wonder Woman with anyone, much less Batman.

Yeah, but she's changed since that- the way she is currently portrayed edges her ever closer towards the tent of former-associates-gone-bad.

She seems a bit more manipulative, but I wouldn't call her outright bad just yet. More like she's given up Batman's ideals and accepted an anti-hero role. She knows the harsh realities of the world thanks to her forays into espionage and she's let it change her to the point where she's willing to do whatever it takes to get things done. She's still well-intentioned though, and I didn't really see anything hinting that she was sleeping with Mr. Terrific just to manipulate him. I'll have to check that scene again.

Holding out hope for yourself? ;)

Finally we agree on something.

Superman may be physically fit to be her mate but the guy´s an idiot who "hasn´t inspired anyone since last time he died".

Batman is beneath her.

Aquaman is a joke.

G´nort.......... well, is G´nort.

Seriously, if she is to have a romantic attachment I´d rather see her pair with a character from her OWN book.

But I am not looking at it from any perspective other than Batman's ideal mate.

Batman is aggressive and domineering whilst being sentimental and loyal. He would not endanger someone he loved. He needs someone to stand up to him. She needs someone who will keep him on the right side of sanity. He needs an optimist, and an optimist with the diplomatic streak required to handle his hissy-fits. Ideally, he needs someone physically superior to him, as he admires that, and intellectually equal.

That's Diana, all over. I agree that, together, they would form an awkward monolith in the centre of the DCU, but in theory, and from Bats' perspective, it makes sense.

The problem here is that you are only looking at it from Baman´s perspective.
What HE needs.

What about whats SHE needs?
In all honesty, what does SHE wants him for?

He is physically inferior, morally clashing (she´s a warrior who kills, he is against killing), he shows quasi-fascist tendencies while she stands for truth and liberty..... what would Batman do except hold her back from acchieving her full potential?

WW is larger than life, an immortal citizen of the World who fights Gods and speaks to all of mankind.
Spending her life patrolling Gotham City´s nights would be a step down for her.

Yes, Wonder Woman would be a magnificent prize for him, yes, I can´t think of a better trophee for any hero.

But fron HER perspective, I have yet to see one hero rise to the occasion and prove himself suitable to be her match.

Could that have been any more redundant?

It doesn´t make the argumentation invalid.

It takes TWO to make a relationship and so far you´re only looking at it from one person´s perspective.

I could say that Salma Hayek is the perfect woman for me but would SHE think I´m the right guy for her?

Now I´ll grant it that as far as treating women like trash, it´s kinda hard to topple DC but - still - I´d like WW´s point of view to be considered next time someone decides to pair her with the first Tom, Dick or Harry that comes along.

Regwec, I think the problem here is that you're only looking at it through Batman's eyes.

1- That's what I said in the first place.

2- I don't work for DC, and I really don's understand what you're talking about anyway.

3- That's what I said in the first place.

Hahah!

Batman should f*** Supergirl. That way, next time he and Superman get into an argument, he can be like, "yeah, well, I f***ed your cousin."

And then Superman would liquify him.

Lois would be a better bet. Clark would probably be creepily noble and supportive about Bruce nobbing Supergirl.

Well, I mean Supergirl in addition to Lois. He's already f***ed Lois. Just look at the tension between her and Brucie in Hush.

And the way she tells Clark to **** off while her and Bruce "talk", before telling him to deal with it.

You make a good point.

Bats rocked her. Twice. While Superman was out in space. Poor Superman, his world always goes to s*** when he's out in space.
