Maybe not, but there's a lot in there that sounds very similar to me from music i've heard from the 70's and 80's. Some just sounds like it has the certain style, while other melody's I swear i've heard before.

I see it like this:

Blur were an OK band, nothing special, but ok.
Gorillaz are an ok act with a top notch gimmick. But its the gimmick that gets what is essentially little better than average music noticed.with out Jamie Hewletts involvment, Gorillaz would be damon albarn and some session musos. and we wouldn't care less about that.
