Who should be next on the Big Screen?

Which review were you talking about? The Latino Review one? They say he's the actual GA fans know and love for about 10 mins before he gets arrested?

you were the one who brought up Wonder Woman wouldnt get a movie anytime soon. That's why I asked "Is this really about what's going to happen anytime soon or what deserves it?". And WW might not even get her show made, but I see what you mean

Flash is def. long over due.

Flash is the one I want. Badly. I also think his super speed should be way beyond anything yet seen on screen. That's what he does. No other speedster should be comparable. The audience should think...wow...Superman and vampires can move fast....but this guy is a whole new deal!

Wonder Woman is a much more recognizable character than Thor and Iron Man were before the movies.
That's true. However, I do wonder (heh) if audiences would support a female SH as the lead. Hit Girl was a big hit (heh) with Kick Ass audiences last year....but would a movie about Hit Girl alone work? They have to find a way to make WW's costume work too. Not easy.

There are members of the JLA that may just work better as a member of the team and not be able to support their own movies. Kinda like certain members of the X-Men. Cool characters...but maybe not a viable entity alone. I think Supes, Bats, GL, and Flash may be the only solo acts honestly. Not sure Aquaman, Hawkman, Green Arrow, and WW have enough. I think the Avengers have the same deal. Iron Man, Hulk, Cap, and Thor are probably the only solo acts there. The Ant Man movie sounds like possible failure to me. A Black Widow movie will probably fare no better....and she's very well known now thanks to IM2.

The Flash is the frontrunner.
:awesome:

The Flash is the frontrunner. Superspeed has yet to be captured in an exciting manner onscreen, and Flash is THE superspeed character. Plus, he has a good rogues gallery and an interesting supporting cast.

This is why Flash should follow Wonder Woman because I just can't see super speed being interesting for a 2 hour movie. Nothing I have seen with super speed effects has ever impressed me much in the movies or TV.

Captain Marvel could also work. Personally, I'd set it in the 40's, with The Rock as Black Adam.

This should be 3rd after the Flash.

DC definetely needs to put out a Team movie. Teen Titans would be ideal for that, only if its not kiddie though, or at least not entirely childish. It needs the tone that the wolfram/perez issues had.

Only if they use the non-legacy heroes like in the Teen Titans cartoon. Otherwise you are just doing Justice League lite and no one will care other than fans.

Jeet,

Wonder Woman is not just any female character. She is the most popular, iconic and well known fictional female character of all time.

I really want to see the Flash and Aquaman. Maybe even Hawkman.

Yes, very well said. I dont think worrying about whether people would want to see a female as a lead is really warranted. First, as Cassidy said WW is probably the most iconic female character of all time. She's not Hit Girl, she's not Black Widow (which I dont see how BW would fare better than WW).
Second, most female driven action films do bad because they suck or at least get the reception that they suck. Sucker Punch, Aeon Flux, Ultra Violet, Elektra, Catwoman all didnt do well, not because they star women, but because they suck.

I think the next logical choice would be The Flash. He's been looooooong overdue & I for 1, would love to see the Scarlet Speedster on the big screen.

I'd like to see a Zatanna movie.

Same but I think they should do her father from childhood to adulthood first and show like him learning sorcery from the book of da vinci. He then tries a career as a magician refusing to use real magic because he fears its power then he's forced to overcome this to save lives when the stage catches on fire, this catches the eye of sindella, a homo magi and zatanna's mother, zatanna would just be his teenage daughter whom he teaches magic tricks, then at the end of zatara's bit they could show the curse being cast that forces him to avoid his own daughter or they both die. then it could focus on her trying to find her father and discovering her affinity for sorcery along the way

Flash makes the most sense. He has name recognition, a costume that can translate well to film, and there are some cool things you could do with his powers. Like some have said, I also expect him to be next.

From a personal perspective I would want a Nightwing film. Not only is he one of my favorite DC characters, but his movie wouldn't even cost much to make. Just him kicking ass in Bludhaven with a few Batman references thrown in. I think it could sell well if they really took it seriously.

Didn't WB say that they want 2 CBF a year ? if so I'd love to have Flash and Wonder Woman in the same year :)

After Superman, Batman and Green Lantern it has to be them. Unless they want to expose some of their lesser known characters.

I'd like to see a (faithful) Nightwing tv series.

I like how you put faithful in there. That idea they had for the Graysons still makes me shudder, and it makes me wonder if they would try to separate Nightwing from Batman if they ever did something with him. It would be stupid for them to do, and it wouldn't make sense. Of course that didn't stop them from Catwoman and Steel.

I vote for Chris Gauthier as Toyman. His creepy sweaty bespectacled leatherclad performance on Smallville was a riot.

The Flash definitely has my vote. Give us an emotionally gripping action movie with stunning special effects and solid actors and I think we could have a winner. I think X-MEN: FIRST CLASS has proven that you DON'T need A-list actors to have a good comic book movie.

yup the flash. can't have the green lantern without the flash showing up next. face it studios don't think a female lead can sell. that's why the ratio of male leads to female leads is so onesided. also i'd rather see superspeed for 2hrs than wonderwoman and here lasso.

how about martian manhunter? he could be a good movie. green lantern looks great so far, so why not bring out the martian. dc is opening up the universe with gl.
