Well, who should direct this new MCU Spider-Man movie?

I have a feeling Kevin Feige will be looking at Adam McKay for this.

David Fincher, Drew Goddard, Brad Bird, or maybe just maybe Whedon himself

James Cameron so we can finally have Doc Ock with his iconic catchphrase "Okie dokie." :o

Whedon whedon whedon Whedon whedon whedon whedon!

I wish Spider-Knight was here, he'd know which director to pick

I'd love a different director after every two films or something.

Immediate names that come to mind are Brad Bird, and/or Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.

Lord and Miller, who were in talks for an animated Spidey movie.

With Whedon seemingly out of the Marvel fold after AoU, I'd love to see the Russos take a crack, but that's unlikely.

EDIT: Yeah, the Lego Movie guys would be cool.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was Goddard

First choice = Mathew Vaughn. His last 3 movies have blown me away. Kickass, X:FC and Kingsman.

Second choice = Brad Bird.

Third choice = David Fincher.

The Fincher ship has sailed. I'd have been more intrigued by him a decade ago anyway, not so interesting nowadays.

Bird is another choice that makes a lot of sense

Marvel take chances with their directors but in this instance they need to go with experience. Get an A list director, that in itself will create as much buzz are Spider-Man himself.

Maybe so but Fincher wouldn't do it now. He said in the Gone Girl interviews that the genre doesn't interest him. Brad Bird on the other hand? Would be a natural fit.

I meant an A list director in general, no specifically David Fincher.
