Batman Begins Who still likes/thinks Begins is better than TDK?

I got a question?....Since Nolans movies are mostly realism right....Do the citizens of Gotham think of Batman as a super natural beast or creature?....Or do they know he is a human who is in a battle suit, but knows how to handle himself?

I think in BB they may of thought he was something else.

"They say he's just one man...or a creature" or whatever.

But I think by TDK everyone knew he was a man.
That doesn't really have much to do with realism, though. That's pretty much just the natural evolution of Batman's role in Gotham (from the comics).

I think TDK is a better film than BB but BB stands up to repeated viewing than TDK to me.

Also both movie complement each other very well.

Funny thing is when BB was about to come out I thought it was a prequel to B89...I was 12 at the time so.

Sums up my feelings 100%! I thought TDK was one of the best movies of all time, but I find myself watching BB more...

I wish we seen more of Arkham in TDK. I didn't like TDK's Gotham it looked to clean if you know what I mean :o

Gotham in TDK looked more like what I'd imagine Metropolis to look like.

Well with Batman around in tDK... i think crime would have been lessened on the streets.. making it look less 'dirty'

It's a metter of takes. BB's Arkham looked clean compared to Schumacher's.

In short form, it really depends on what kind of story you're in the mood for, or what characters you feel like seeing. I can't call one better than the other, but I tend to watch Begins more often because that story is more personal and meaningful to me.

There are other little factors, like I think it might also have a tiny bit to do with Maggie replacing Katie. I really didn't like Maggie for the character, to put it gently. Also to be noted was the role of Scarecrow- Cillian did such a great job acting with just his eyes sometimes in Begins and I really appreciated that, as well as the sort of smooth, creepy intelligence of his voice when he spoke to anyone, the way he opened the briefcase. He was on his game, it was so fun to watch him knowing that he could crush anyone's mind he wanted at any time. In the second movie he's just kinda washed up and knows it, goes down without much of a fight. That was a bummer for me.

He does have a decent line though, and I guess it makes sense from a character development standpoint as well as getting the movie rolling without upstaging anything that was to come -- although I doubt there was any way to upstage the TwoFace and Joker stuff with a more badass Scarecrow bit at the beginning, but I digress..

So yeah, I guess there's no weighing technical ups and downs for me, it's all personal preference. And, needless to say, I cherish both films regardless.

I don't know where to put this, I'm watching Begins on TV after Batman says "I'm Batman" "Nice coat" was cut out straight into next scene. I thought I share this.

I liked that little moment to be honest. Don't see the harm in it. Just a playful little moment.

They also cut the bit out where Batman head butts Falcone, why? You see more violence on Eastenders!

Maybe ITV will edit out Joker holding a knife cos of knife crime in UK..... :whatever:

Am I the only one who loves the fight scene just before the tumbler chase? To me it's the defining cinematic moment of a badass Batman at work.

Humour is about timing. That was the worst moment for a joke that wasn't particularly wit or funny. When Batman is crawling that building and he meets the kid it is noit that bad because that's not a crucial/iconic moment. But then again I hated the kid, so I just can't be satisfied. :o
