Batman Begins Who still likes/thinks Begins is better than TDK?

Just say in my opinion I didn't like this or that etc. Easiest way not to cause offence rather than saying someone is blind to faults which you think exist.
Haha, not trying to come off as an ass-hat here, but I've seen/read PLENTY of your posts that come off more then offensive, and are strictly your opinion. I'm more then in the same spot, but let's try not to tell each other how to act/post on a forum. I try to remain as civil as possible, I was just trying to clarify how my post could have been mis-read, and after reading your post, I can see it could have come off that way. I apologize, but let's not go down that road, shall we?

Because it's a complaint I've rarely, if ever seen in the many, many, MANY reviews and opinions of the movie that I've seen since it was released.
So just because that complaint wasn't in a review you read, then any other opinion on it isn't valid?

And you think I can't? Or you just think that just beacuse I don't agree with yours that I don't think there is any?
No, I think I remember a member in here posting an article about "plotholes" on TDK, and you just rubbed it off as "nitpicking", by saying, "I agree with what most of the comments say at the bottom of the article", which were full of "this is just nitpicking". I would go back to and link, but SHH has been acting up BAD today, and its taking a few minutes to load a page, so I think it's on either page 3 or 4 of this thread. :cwink: I just hope it was you who said that.:csad:

Fair enough. I'm too tired right now to even put much effort into this post even if I wanted to :cwink:

Not at all. I'm saying it's a complaint that is not very common. Unlike people complaining about Bale's Batman voice in TDK, for example.

I can honestly say I don't recall any such thing. I do remember getting into some debates in the Misc Batman movie forum in the thread about bad moments in Batman movies. But not in here. Not outside this thread, anyway.

I don't think TDK is flawless. Far from it. I just don't agree with alot of the more common complaints some people have about it.

Hey, I don't agree with the more common complaints of both Begins and TDK, but I do like talking about them. Yes, both have HUGE faults in them, but what film doesn't? I just happen to be on the side that really isn't to excited about TDK, when I wish I was. I'm not trying to be a bully about it, but I will speak my mind on it, just like you will.

I will say, that you are one of my favorite members here on SHH. We ALWAYS seem to have apposing views, and we can really get into it, but it never gets overboard, and that's always stimulating to have a good conversation then the regular "this-and-that". We may be on different sides of the spectrum, but I do respect you, and try to remain that way. :cwink:

That's fair enough. And I have nothing against anyone who criticizes TDK, or any movie that I love, whether I agree with the critcisms or not. We are only talking about movies here, not abortion or politics. Something alot of people here lose sight of unfortunately. I don't include you in that bracket.

Thanks for the kind words, and I reciprocate them to you.

I think if we actually engaged in any discussions beyond Nolan's Batman movies, we might find we agree on alot of things.

Regardless, I still think Batman was awesome in TDK. I think a lot of people overlook it (not saying anyone of you cats) because of the Joker. But he was still pretty brutal.

Beating the crap out of the Joker was really bad ass. I just wish he would have used a batarang once or twice.

Meh was not scared of TDK Batman. Batman suppose to be scary.

Yeah, any guy can throw you from a third floor and you'll laugh at him. I mean, how weak is that.

KRRRRREEEEEEEEEAK (sound of--->) :whatever:

Hey Maroni survived so.:cwink: Plus a dude with a deep scratchy voice do not scare me. I be like Joker and just laugh at the man.

One of the most badass Batman moments ever put on film.

I'm just saying Batman in Nolans movies not scary well he was kinda in BB. Burton Batman was.

Batman flying over a crowd of people who are all trippin' the F out was 10x scarier than anything Burton did. IMO.

Hey Maroni survived so.:cwink:

So you choose to ignore the dreadful scream Maroni made before hitting the ground as you choose to ignore the verb 'to be' sometimes.

Maroni was terribly scared as he never thought Batman was going to drop him.

Plus a dude with a deep scratchy voice do not scare me.

But he scared you in BB? How come?

I be like Joker and just laugh at the man.

Normally, people who say that are the first one running away or creaming their pants when real things happens.

I'd agree if Nolan had created some really horrible hallucinations but it mostly looked like a soft LSD. And sometimes they saw demons, and sometimes they barely saw some blurry shaky images. It was very inconsistent.

Right. It still touches on the idea that some people think Bats may not be human. Which I really enjoy. I try and imagine myself as someone trippin' who saw that.

But honestly I think the only reaction I'd have would be a Keanu Reeves "Whoa."

:joker: lol

Batman should have scared Moroni like he scared Flass in Batman Begins.

Batman should hanged Moroni upside down (which he did) but should have been continuously pulling up/down and growling his lungs out.

That'd be unoriginal. Reuse the same scene on another character. It was nice to see Batman has some variety in his scare tactics.

They was under the fear gas course they was gonna be scared of anything. And i do agree with that post also. But Batman 89 was better then Batman Begins.

Agreed so it was not that scary.

I try and imagine myself having to face Batman but honestly i would not be scared.

Oh, I certainly agree.

Batman should have scared Moroni like he scared Flass in Batman Begins.

And he did. He was pretty scared.

No use.

That worked for Flass who was a coward and didn't know who or what Batman was (as no one knew for sure) or was what he capable of.

By the time of TDK everyone knew about the Batman non killing rule so Maroni could have felt uncomfortable with the upside down/shouting routine, but he was too sure Batman wasn't going to kill him. When Bats dropped him though, he pretty much felt that Batman had made an exception with him.
